Act 1 - Introduce

It was a dark night, wolves howling in the distance, wind whistling through the trees, and the sounds
of flies hovering over the boggy texture of the mud. Moonlight shining through the thick mist. A
small, old rotten house laid lifelessly within the depths of the woods. Overgrown with moss. Charred
wood hanging from the balconies and rubble piled up the side. The door was partially destroyed,
missing chunks and slightly open. Inside the house was very clean and looked after. There was
multiple bookshelves filled with scientific books. The family room had a medium sized open fireplace
with a deer head attached to the wall above it, leather chairs gathered in front of the fireplace with
a globe next to it filled with rum, wine and brandy. In the room next to it was a bedroom. There was
a king sized bed sat in front of a desk with an old computer. In the bed was a young man named
Jack, he was no older than 25. He had short dark brown hair and green eyes. He was an average
build and was tall. He woke from the devastating nightmare he had, he went up to his gigantic
polished wooden wardrobe and changed into a grey suit. After, he went over to his computer and
started looking up information for a missing man named John Baxter. After a couple hours of
researching and printing, Jack went into the family room. He lit the fire, sat on one of the leather
chairs, and made himself a brandy. Jack started to drift slowly back off to sleep, but then he was
awoken to a loud groaning sound coming from within the house.

Act 2 Main Action/story

Jack gets up from the chair and goes to explore where the groaning came from. He ventures towards
the groaning sounds, which seem to be coming from within the basement. As he approaches the
door, his heartbeat speeds up and his breathing got heavier and heavier. He raises his hand and tries
to push the old rotting door, but it did not move. The door was locked. He looks down and realizes
there is a note half way under the door. Jack bends down and picks up the note. As he picks up the
note he hears a door squeak from behind him. Jack turns around to see nothing but darkness coming
from within the kitchen. He quickly raises the note to get a quick look at it but it was nothing but
ancient writing. He realizes that the only place he could decipher the note was in his dads old office,
which was through the kitchen. He went up to the kitchen door and reach round the corner to the
light switch. His hand brushed the wall and he found the light switch. As he pushed the switch, he
felt a cold breath on his hand. His hand retracted as quickly as possible. He stepped back and noticed
that the light did not turn on. Before he went into the kitchen, he had to find a light source. He went
back into the family room. As he was looking for a light source, jack had a nervous chill that went
down his spine as if he felt like he was being watched. He quickly rushed over to the desk and picked
up the candle that was on top of it. Without hesitation, jack quickly opened the drawer and grabbed
out a box of matches. He tried to light the first match but as he rubbed the match end on the rough
surface, but the match stick snapped. The match fell and went through a crack in the floor. Jack bent
down and looked through the crack. Underneath the floor was another room with a flickering light
which jack has never seen before. All he could see was a silver metal floor and a little bit of
equipment, which he did not recognize. Jack stood back up in confusion, grabbed another match,
and lit the candle. Jack went back towards the kitchen and slowly put the candle in to light up the
room. He stepped in, looked around and saw that nothing was in there. The kitchen looked like it has
not been touched for years. There was dirty dishes in the sink and on the table. The smell filled
Jacks nose. It smelt like rotting food and dirty water. There was an old wooden door on the other
side of the kitchen. Jack went over to it and pushed the door. The door was stiff, and opened with a
loud screeching sound. Jack stepped in the room, and in front of him was his dads desk. Covered
with old files and work, which his dad used to work on. Against the walls was huge bookshelves filled
with old dusty books. Jack goes over to the desk, as he walk the floorboards creek from under him.
He looks on the desk, pick up his dads journal, and brushed the dust off it. He opened the journal to
the last page that was written on and looked through it. On the bottom of the page was old ancient
writing with the words Keep Out written above it. Jack got out the note which he found from
earlier and compared the writing to the one in the journal. The writings matched. Even though it said
keep out, Jack still wanted to know what was down there. There was a drawer in the desk, which
was slightly open. Jack rested his hand on it and slowly opened it. Inside the desk was a flashlight
and a key. His first intention was to try the key on the basement door. He picked up the flashlight
and key and headed back towards the basement. As he entered the kitchen, the office door
slammed behind him. Jack immediately turned around and his heart was pounding. He then rushed
towards the basement door and put the key in the keyhole. As he turned the key, a loud mechanical
sound clunked from behind the door. The door slowly opened and in front of him was a dark narrow
staircase. He shut the door and went forward.

Act 3 Resolution
Jack prepared himself for the darkness. He raised the flashlight up and pressed the on button. The
staircase lit up but he could still not see the end of it. He took a deep breath and starting to walk
down. Each step that he took down the stairs, the floorboards squeaked from beneath him. The
further down he went, the colder it got, whispers started surrounding him. When he got to the
bottom there was a corridor leading to a see-through thick plastic door. He walked up to the door.
On the inside of the door was four numbers written in blood. The numbers were 1,9,7,3. Next to the
door was a keypad. Jack pushed in the numbers and the door slowly opened. A loud hissing sound as
smoke filled the room behind the door. Jack stepped into the room. The smoke slowly cleared the
room. In front of Jack was tables full of syringes, beakers and more science equipment. There was a
massive screen on the wall, and the walls were white and covered in plastic tarp. On the floor was a
trail of blood leading towards the room at the back. Jack followed it cautiously. He slowly leant
around the corner and saw a pile of dead mutated bodies. There was a pool of blood surrounding
the bodies. He looked around and recognized a body, which lay by itself. He went over to it and knelt
down. He slowly pushed the body over to get a look at its face, but before he could see its face, the
mutant jumped up and screamed. Jack jumped back and bolted it to the door. The mutant stood up
tall and started to chase Jack. Jack ran towards the stairs, looked back towards the door, and saw the
mutant running towards him. He then realized who the mutant was. It was his father. He then ran up
the stairs and through the door, shutting it behind him. He quickly got out the key and locked the
door. The mutant slammed against the door and cracking the door down the middle. Jack turned
away and ran towards the front door. As he was running, the mutant broke down the door and
made jack stumble. Jack stumbled and fell to the floor. He scrambled towards the front door and got
back to his feet. The mutant got jack into his vision and slowly walked towards him. Jack grabbed the
key from the side of the door and aggressively opened the door in fear. He exited the house and ran
towards his old, rusty car. He opened the car door and got in. He put the keys into the ignition and
turned them. The car did not start straight away. He looked back to the house and saw the mutant
coming towards him. He tried to start the car again and the car started. He put the car in gear and
drove away into the distant fog, never looking back to that house again.
