AAGAMAST (AAGAPAY NG SPAMAST)

CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

ARTICLE I
NAME

SECTION 1. The name was the AAGAMAST (AAGAPAY NG SPAMAST).


SECTION 2. AAGAMAST is a student sectoral organization of AAGAPAY YOUTH in
SPAMAST-CAS.
ARTICLE II
BASIC PREMISES AND GUIDING PRINCIPLES

The AAGAMAST YOUTH MEMBER is founded on the following premises and principles:
1. That the youth must be inculcated with the right values to develop genuine love of God, love
of country and countrymen and the love of environment.
2. The youth have a role to play in strengthening the basic foundation of the society, the family,
as a major component in the development of the country.
3. The youth have the right to enjoy a decent living in a safe and secured society where they find
pleasure as a youth while at the same time promoting the good characteristic of a citizen.
4. The youth is an indispensable partner in the yearning to build a better nation for the future.
6. The youth have the right create and organize activities to promote faith of God, welfare of the
family, goodness of the country and countrymen, and to protect the environment.
7. The youth have the right to seek assistance for the improvement of their skills and talents.
8. The Filipino youth is apart from the others. Its caliber had been historically tested through the
acts exemplified by our national hero as well as the other youth heroes of the time of Jose Rizal.
9. The idealism and passion inherent in the youth can successfully rebuild and propagandize our
good values in order to bring about positive changes in our society.
10. The youth can be protagonists in a society where conflicts are settled through peaceful and
non-violent confrontation.

ARTICLE III
OBJECTIVES

1. To create a highly dedicated group of young people who are pro-God, pro-family,
pro-people, pro-country, and pro-environment.
2. To promote the formation of a strong and God-fearing youth towards the attainment of self-
reliant, self-sufficient, safe and secure Filipino community regardless of their religious beliefs.
3. To instill and strengthen good Filipino values among youth for a genuine Love to God, people,
country and environment.
4. To establish camaraderie among students in SPAMAST.
5. To launch awareness and advocacy campaign on the need for ecological balance and
sustainable development for a better future.
6. To instigate responsiveness on the socio-political situation in the country to be able to raise
good leaders/public servants.
ARTICLE IV
MEMBERSHIP

SECTION 1. AAGAMAST is open to all SPAMAST students or young professionals who


believe and work for the fulfillment of the advocacies and vision of the organization.
SECTION 2. Mode of membership:
a. Youth who attended the basic AAGAMAST orientation course, signified his willingness to
support the objectives of the association, and participates in its activities is considered a
candidate member of the organization.
b. A candidate member who actively participates in the activities and
programs of the organization, and positively advocates AAGAMAST to other
youths is accepted as a full-time member of the AAGAMAST.
SECTION 3. Mode of Cessation of Membership – Membership in the AAGAMAST
shall cease upon withdrawal by the members through a written resignation
letter.

ARTICLE V
RIGHTS AND RESPONSONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERS

SECTION 1. Every member shall have the following rights:


a. Every member has the right to cast his/her vote, to seek elective position and nomination.
b. Every member has the right to access recorded information and be informed of all the
activities and programs of the organization, to participate and be a part of it.
c. Every member has the right to participate in all deliberations/meetings of the organization.
d. Every member has the right to participate in activities where their cooperation is necessary.
SECTION 2. Members shall have the following responsibilities:
a. Every member has a commitment to fulfill the advocacies and Vision of the organization,
follow the rules set forth in the constitution and by-laws, and to help in the successful
implementation of its programs, services and projects.
b. To attend all meetings of the association.
c. To pay membership dues and other assessments of the association.

ARTICLE VI
ORGANIZATION

SECTION 4. The Executive Committee shall be composed of the Chairperson, Vice-


Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, PIO, Business Manager

ARTICLE VII
OFFICERS

SECTION 1. The officers of the AAGAMAST YOUTH are: the Chairperson, the Vice –
Chairperson, the Secretary, the Treasurer, Auditor, PIO.
a. The Chairperson – presides over the meetings of the Council,
speak in behalf of the organization on its stand on issues as determined by the Committee; and
represent the organization.
b. The Vice- Chairperson undertakes the tasks assigned to him/her by
the Chairperson from time to time, and in accordance with orientation and programs of
the AAGAPAY YOUTH; help in supervising the implementation of programs; and shall
take over the responsibilities of the Chairperson in his/her absence.
c. The Secretary-General shall administer the day-to day operation of the organization; take
charge of its documentation; act as the official custodian of all records/ documents and maintain
an updated rooster of members.
d. The Treasurer shall keep all the funds and properties of the organization; prepare the annual
budget; exercise general supervision over the finances; collect, receives and issues receipts of all
the money, funds, contributions, donations and
submit complete financial reports; perform such other duties as may be assigned to
him/her by the Executive Committee.
e. The Auditor -shall audit the finances of the organization and must work with the treasurer to
maintain transparency reliability of the organizations money.
f. The PIO- shall disseminate announcement to the members.
g. The Business Manager

ARTICLE VIII
FUND

SECTION 1. The AAGAMAST YOUTH shall derive its funds from:


a. Donations and other benevolent contributions from third parties;
b. Loans and other sources as may be authorized by law.

ARTICLE IX
AMENDMENTS

SECTION 1. This Constitution and By-Laws may be amended, repealed or modified in whole or
in part by the majority of the members at any regular or special meeting duly called for the
purpose.
SECTION 2. Any amendments of this Constitution and By-Laws under Section 1 here of shall
be valid and made effective immediately upon its ratification.

ARTICLE X
EFFECTIVITY

SECTION 1. This Constitution and By-Laws shall take effect immediately upon its ratification.
