Raise Your Spiritual Antennae and Position Yourself for More in 2017
2017 - THE YEAR OF ESTABLISHMENT
This is the first month of 2017 and its important that we prepare ourselves, and that we
are rightly positioned by the Holy Spirit, for the glories and victories Hes planned for us in
2017. The best way to prepare ourselves is by fasting and praying; spending time to pray
in the spirit, studying and meditating on the Word, and attending diligently to the visions,
promptings, ideas and thoughts from the Spirit of God.
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas
and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them (Acts 13:2).
The Lord has something special for you in 2017. Its His joy and desire to help you
navigate your way and chart your course gloriously and triumphantly. However, your spirit
must be conditioned, and your spiritual antennae raised and tuned to receive divine words
of blessing, instruction, direction, and counsel from the Lord. His Word in your heart that
God has been speaking to you throughout 2016 will give you all the advantage you require
for success and excellence throughout this magnificent New Year of 2017. Do not
underestimate what the Holy Spirit has taught you in 2016. It was a preparation for the
great glories which He will manifest in and through your life. If you believe it say Amen.
2017 is the year when God will establish you in your purpose in life.

I will now share important principles of fasting. Let me begin by mentioning that the most
important aspect of fasting isnt the fact that youre staying away from food; its taking your
attention off from the food and placing it onto God. So, minimize unnecessary activities or
distractions when you fast. You shouldnt forget that youre fasting; this consciousness
helps you to curb and kill the cravings of the flesh, and maintain focus on the Spirit. It
helps you to raise your spiritual antennae so that you can hear from the Lord.
Remember, we fast and pray, not because we want to change God, but because we want
to be ushered into greater levels of His glory and operations of the Spirit in our lives.
Therefore, as you take out time to fast and pray, have a clear objective and expectation in
focus. This will help to guide your prayer, study and meditation time. Keeping specific
targets of what you want to achieve during fasting will help you endure the challenges and
pains of fasting.
Therere many who fast a lot without praying. It shouldnt be so; you must include
adequate and regular intervals of prayer, study, and meditation on the Word. Not only will
this raise your spiritual antennae, youll stay ahead of situations, make great improvements
in your life, and be rightly positioned for a glorious and triumphant 2017. This year 2017 as
you pray and fast I decree and declare that the Lord God will establish you in your calling
and purpose in life. I decree and declare that God will establish you in your field of career
in so much that your peers will know you by name! In whatever endeavour, you are
involved in, I decree and declare that you will be established in 2017!

You may ask, How does fasting help me in prayer? In Matthew 26:41, Jesus said, Watch
and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is

weak. Fasting is a spiritual exercise; its a form of self-denial, where youre able to subdue
your flesh, subdue your appetites and silence the voice of your flesh to listen to the voice
of the Spirit of God within you. Fasting strengthens your resolve and helps your focus,
because praying is an act of communication where youre talking to the Lord and, at the
same time, listening to Him.

He desires to talk to you personally, and He desires that you to understand Him clearly. In
fact, the Lord God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are always speaking. However, you
cant hear when your spirit and mind are clouded with noise and other things. Thats the
reason we fast. As we journey into a new year, therere many things Hell like to
communicate and talk to you about. Therefore fasting and prayer will give you the tools
that allow you to silence all the internal noises which hinder you from hearing His voice. Its
time to position yourself for greater manifestations of Gods Spirit in your life. Be excited
every time you are fasting and praying because its an opportunity to be positioned for
more.

The obvious question which many Christians are still asking to day is why do we fast? Do
we have to fast anyway? Of course my response is you do not have to fast and no one will
force you to fast. However, if you are going to enjoy the benefits exclusively reserved for
and unlocked by fasting, you may need to consider fasting, and fasting the God designed
way (Isaiah 58; Luke 4: Acts 13:1-3). I will now proceed to give two reasons why every
serious Christian has to fast.

Firstly and primarily, Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden because of food. Gen 3:6
And when the woman SAW that the tree was good for FOOD, and that it was pleasant to
the EYES, and a tree to be DESIRED to make one WISE, she took of the FRUIT thereof,
and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. This verse clearly
shows us the root of all sin as we know it today. Food brought about the predicament of
man. This verse also concurs with 1Jn 2:16 which declares that For all that is in the
world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the
Father, but is of the world. Can I suggest to you that if you can conquer your flesh with all
its cravings for food, you are on your way to the TOP! Glory to God. Amen.

The second reason is found in Matt 17. Here is a portion of the scripture:

Mat 17:14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man,
kneeling down to him, and saying,
Mat 17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he
falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
Mat 17:16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
Mat 17:17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long
shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
Mat 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was
cured from that very hour.
Mat 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him
out?
Mat 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If
ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence
to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Mat 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

After the disciples could not cast out the demon, they wanted to find out from the Master
Himself why not. Jesus let them know that the problem was their UNBELIEF. If they had
faith as a grain of mustard seed, they would have had results. And then Jesus goes further
to make an astounding statement in verse 21. The issue is not so much to do with the type
of demon, but rather the level of their faith. We know that Jesus commanded that devil to
leave without first of all going for fasting. He had already fasted enough such that His faith
level could handle this kind of devils. He gave the disciples the solution to cure their
unbelief: Prayer and Fasting!! Prayer and fasting has nothing to do with your problem let
alone the demons! It has everything to do with dealing with your unbelief!! It is Gods
provision for curing UNBELIEF.
I think these are enough reasons to get you fasting. Make up your mind to make 2017 a
year of prayer and fasting. Develop the habit of having regular prayer and fasting days. Do
not wait for God to tell you when to fast, because He already told you that you should fast!
Be mature enough and get going based on His Word. Amen.

DEALING WITH OUR ARCH-ENEMY - THE BODY

It is very easy to be deceived and assume that the devil is the arch-enemy. However that
assumption is a misplaced accusation. Yes I know that the devil is blamed for all the
problems in the world today. However, a careful consideration of scriptures reveal a
different picture. Firstly, Hosea 4:6 says that My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge. God can not get any clearer than this. Gods people are indeed kept in
bondage and ultimately destroyed for lack of knowledge. It has nothing to do with the
enormity or uniqueness of your problems. It is not them that are destroying you. You are
being destroyed by your ignorance. Someone may say, Aaaah Prophet, my entire life I
have been in the church and I know God and His word. Well, if you knew then you
wouldn't be in your current predicament or at least your life would not be what it is today. In
fact, your life today is a direct result of your knowledge. You are a product of what you
know and a victim of you ignorance. Now knowing and acting on that knowledge, is part of
what God is saying here. Knowing alone will not give you the desired results. But acting on
your knowledge will give you the desire results. This is day 15 of our 40 day Prayer and
Fasting season. How many days have you fasted so far? I have taught extensively on
prayer and fasting. God will not give Christ-beings any stronger weapon than prayer and
fasting. So if you cant fast and still expect change in your life and circumstances, then you
must be joking. Now from today I want you to understand child of God, your body is the
arch-enemy. Its not the devil at all. He only takes advantage of your ignorance. Consider
what the Bible says in Hebrews 2:14-16:

Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also
himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had
the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to
bondage.
Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed
of Abraham.

The key phrase to consider in this portion of scriptures is that through death He might
destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil. May I ask you a question: Do
you think Jesus accomplished His purpose of destroying the devil? If you think that He did,
then the devil is no longer a factor! If you think that He did not, then boy! you are in big
trouble! The word destroy as used in the above verse comes from a Greek word Katargeo
which simply means to be (render) entirely idle (useless). There are other words that we
can use but I love to think the best way to look at it is that Jesus Christ by His vicarious
death, paralysed the devil. So the Mr. devil that you attribute all your problems to is
actually paralysed. It doesn't get any clearer than this. So where does all the troubles
come from? Well, from today think of the flesh as your arch-enemy. Thats why these next
seven days, you will deal with your flesh.

DAY 15: MONDAY JANUARY 16, 2017

Luk 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and
take up his cross daily, and follow me.

To day you will begin to deal with the flesh:

I pray Holy Spirit help me to deny myself of all the pleasures of the soul and flesh.
Anything thats not pleasing to the Father and that grieves you Holy Spirit to day I deny
myself in the Name of Jesus Christ.

I decree and I declare that from today I will carry my cross DAILY. It doesn't matter whether
I feel like it or not, I will carry my cross daily.

I make a commitment today Lord, that i will follow you whole heartedly! I decree and I
declare that I will follow you examples, your character, your nature and I will walk in your
footsteps.

1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

From today Holy Spirit, help me to die daily. Lord, I make this my personal commitment
that I will die daily. When the enemy comes, he will find a corpse that he can not tempt nor
attack in Jesus name!

DAY 16: TUESDAY JANUARY 17, 2017

Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify
the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

To day we will put to death the deeds of the body. I want you to notice that the Bible does
not say that God will put to death the deeds of your body nor will the Holy Spirit on His own
put to death the deeds of the body. Rather it is very clear that you are to use the Holy Spirit
as a weapon to put to death the deeds of the body! Amen.

What are these deeds of the body?
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions,
heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you
before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit
the kingdom of God.

Put them to death one by one! This is how you pray:

You .. through the Spirit I put you to death today in the Name of Jesus. And I
decree and declare that you will never rise up again in my body in Jesus Name!
DAY 17: WEDNESDAY JANUARY 18, 2017
Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt
according to the deceitful lusts;
Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness
and true holiness.
Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we
are members one of another.

Today we will deal with two things, firstly:

Put off the old man:
I put off and take off the old man and old nature (like a cloth) today in the Name of the Lord
Jesus Christ. By the power of the Holy Spirit I strip myself off of the old man and old nature
in the Name of Jesus.
Every thing from the old man that has been clinging on to me, today by the power of the
Holy Ghost, I pull you off and kick you out of my life in Jesus name!
I put away lying in the Name of Jesus Christ and I from now speak on the truth even if its
painful.
Secondly,
Put on the new man:
In the Name of Jesus I put on the new man (like a cloth) which after God is created in
righteousness and true holiness. By the power of the Holy Ghost I put on the new man and
the new nature which is a true reflection of my Father God.
I decree and declare that from now on, I behave like Christ and I have the nature of Christ!
I decree and declare that I am righteous and holy before God.
I decree and I declare that I am beyond condemnation.

DAY 18: THURSDAY JANUARY 19, 2017
Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

From today we will embark on a journey of renewing our minds. Please not that this is not
a one off prayer but rather a combination of daily action and prayer. We will use two
examples of how the mind is renewed:
Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ
sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

I decree and declare that from today my mind will seek only those things which are above,
where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God
In the Name of Jesus I set my admiration, love and attention on things above, not on
things on the earth. I break my love on things which are earthly in Jesus Name.
I decree and I declare, I am dead to the world and the world is dead to me. My life is hid
with Christ in God. I therefore seek only those things which please my Lord Jesus Christ in
Jesus Name.
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Php 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in
me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

I decree and I declare that from today my mind will only think on whatsoever things are
true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any
virtue, and if there be any praise in Jesus Name.
DAY 19: FRIDAY JANUARY 20, 2017
1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the
world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the
pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1Jn 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of
God abideth for ever.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I break any love in me for the world and for any thing that is in
the world.
Here is the big one:
Today in the Name of Jesus, I put to death, by the power of the Holy Ghost, the lust of the
flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

I suspend any communication the devil has been having through these three means. In the
Name of Jesus today I shut down your communication tower devil! I decree and declare
that you will never have access to me again using these means as today they are all
uprooted by the power of the Holy Ghost!!!

DAY 20: SATURDAY JANUARY 21, 2017

2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the
pulling down of strong holds;)
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the
knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2Co 10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is
fulfilled.

There are lots of spiritual weapons available to you as a child of God. Today we are using
three of such weapons for this warfare, namely the Holy Ghost, Prayer and Fasting. Yes
you read correctly, the Holy Ghost is a weapon given to you to achieve the desired
changes in your life and environment.
Secondly let me point out as well that these things mentioned here are not spiritual entities
in the heavenlies. No. These are not spirit beings lurking up and about somewhere.
Actually these are programs in your mind, rather I should say in your brain. This is how
your brain was wired by your unbelieving cultures and personal experiences and in turn it
produces a personality and character in you. So today we will deal with these things. Mind
you this is not a one off prayer but rather it should a continual pounding and bombardment
for these things to give in and give way in Jesus name!
By the power of the Holy Ghost today, I pull down every strong hold in my mind and brain
in Jesus Name. I command you be uprooted now and break to pieces. I command you
loose your hold on me in Jesus name!
By the power of the Holy Ghost, I cast down every imagination in my mind and brain that is
contrary to the Word of God in Jesus Name! I decree and declare that my mind will only
imagine good things happening to me and in my family! I decree and declare that I will only
imagine what God thinks about me and my life in Jesus Name!
By the power of the Holy Ghost, I cast down every high thing in my mind and brain that
exalts it self against the knowledge of God. Every kind of counter argument against the
Word of God today I cast you down in Jesus Name!
By the power of the Holy Ghost, I bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of
Christ. I arrest every thought in me and bring it to the obedience of Christ in Jesus Name.
I decree and I declare that by the power of the Holy Ghost, every thought in me will be in
total agreement and completely aligned to the Word of God. I prohibit any of these things
to rise up again in my mind and brain in Jesus Name!
From today I decree and I declare, by the power of the Holy Ghost, new programming of
my mind and brain based on the scriptures and the Knowledge of God. I create new
pathways completely based on the Truth of the Word of God in Jesus Name!

DAY 21: SUNDAY JANUARY 22, 2017
Jas 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater
condemnation.
Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a
perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
Jas 3:3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn
about their whole body.
Jas 3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce
winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor
listeth.
Jas 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how
great a matter a little fire kindleth!
Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members,
that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire
of hell.

Today is the last day of dealing with the body - our arch-enemy. I think by now you can see
that the Word of God has a lot to say about the body and how to deal with it. If a man can
master the body he is on the way to the top! However the Word of God lets us know that
mastering the body starts with mastering the tongue.
I decree and I declare that by the power of the Holy Ghost, from today my tongue will
speak only wholesome words! I refuse any form of foolish talking nor corrupt
communication.

I decree and declare that my entire body and nature will come under the influence of my
words! The way an entire horse is turned about by the small bit in its mouth, I decree and I
declare that my entire body will do as I say in Jesus Name!
I decree and I declare that the way a huge ship is turned about by a small helm
whithersoever the governor listeth, my body will be turned about by my tongue in the
direction I desire!!
Therefore from today by the power of the Holy Ghost my body I command you that you
shall be under the subjection of the Holy Ghost and you will obey His guidance In Jesus
Name!
I decree and I declare that from today my body you will delight yourself in the Lord and in
Him alone will you find pleasure in Jesus Name!
I decree and I declare that from today my tongue by the power of the Holy Ghost only
speaks wholesome words which will build my body and chart a perfect path for my life in
Jesus Name!
