Polonius- Father

Laertes- Brother

A beautiful young women who obeys her father and brother. She is very
dependent on men and seeks for their guidance. (ophelia syndrome) Laertes and
Ophelia have a special sibling bond.
Schizophrenia
Definition- Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder in which people interpret
reality abnormally. Schizophrenia may result in some combination of
hallucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behavior that
impairs daily functioning, and can be disabling.

Symptoms: Hallucinations, Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Personality change,

difficulty speaking, rambling, restlessness, memory loss

Causes: it's not known for what causes schizophrenia, from having a mental ability
Causes for her to have schizophrenia
From a family member (could be from mother because we don't know much about
her)

We can only go by the symptoms she is showing of schizophrenia due to the fact
that we don't know what exactly causes it.
She speaks much of her father, says she
hears

Theres tricks i' th' world, and hems, and Moans and chanting
beats her heart,

Spurns enviously at straws, speaks things

in doubt

That carry but half sense. Angry outburst

Speaks nonsense

PTSD
Definition: (Post-traumatic stress disorder) - An anxiety disorder in which a person
repeatedly re- experiences an extremely traumatic event.

Symptoms: depression, recurrent thoughts of traumatic event, negative

feelings/thoughts, angry outburst, loneliness, blaming/guilt

Causes: childhood neglect, life threatening-traumatic event, lack of sleep, suicidal

thoughts and actions
Causes to her PTSD
Not so loving father and no mother figure ( Childhood neglect)

Because of the close relationship with her brother and him suddenly leaving, the
loss of her father, and the depart of Hamlet, makes it a risk for her when she is
suddenly alone. ( Lacking support system)

The loneliness and lack of suppor
