ThePMP450Systemcreatesapointtomultipointwirelessbroadbandconnectiontransmittingaradio

OFDM(OrthogonalFrequencyDivisionmultiplexing)isamulticarrierradiosignalmodulationbasedon

TheOFDMchannelbandwidthcanbeconfiguredwithoneoftwopossiblevalues:10MHzand20MHz
(with5MHzchannelbandwidthsupportplannedforafuturerelease).20MHzchannelbandwidth
configurationsallowforgreaterconnectioncapacityasthesignaloccupiesalargerportionofthe
spectrum.Narrowerchannelbandwidths(10MHzor5MHz)increasereceptionsensitivityandallowfor
moreopportunitiestooperateinspectrumconstrainedRFenvironments.
ThechannelbandwidthmustbeconfiguredwiththesamevaluesinboththeAPandSMmodulesofthe
PMP450System.
MIMO(MultipleInputMultipleOutput)radiotransmissionoffersthecapabilityofincreasingthe
capacityofaradioconnectionbytransmittingandreceivingparallelsignalsonseparateTx/Rxchains.
WhenthebenefitsoftheMIMOtechniquesarecombinedwithOFDMsignalingandhighsystemgain,
