Gang hit leads to the death of a two-year-

old boy
A gang-related shooting in
Chicago on Tuesday
afternoon led to the tragic
death of a two-year-boy. In
the last few days 3 children
have been a victim of
ongoing violence in the city.
Along with the death of this young boy, a 25-year-old
man was killed and a pregnant woman was wounded
due to a gang-related shooting. Last year there were
760 reported murders and 4,300 shooting victims.
This year is off to an equally horrific start, with more
than 60 murders and 300 shooting victims.

Doug Adler fired for comparing Venus Williams

to a gorilla
ESPN tennis commentator,
Doug Adler, was fired last
month after being accused of
using racist language,
comparing Venus Williams
playing style to a gorilla at
the Australian Open. Adlers
comment came after Williamss 6-3 victory over
Stephanie Voegele when he said You see Venus,
move in and put the gorilla effect on, charging.
Adler tried covering up for his comment but since has
caused for more controversy among African
Americans and others offended by the comment.

Trifecta in the sky

On February 17 a full moon, lunar eclipse and a pale
green comet will shoot across the sky. If youre on
the East Coast the full moon will be right above the
horizon at about 5:30 p.m., as time passes the gray
shade will start to appear. At approximately 10:30 p.m. a
greenish colored Comet will be visible by a telescope or
binoculars. Lastly at 7:30 p.m. anyone on the East
Coast should be able to get full sight of the eclipse at its
maximum. I wouldnt miss this if I were you.

Melania is called a role model

USweeklys cover stated that Melania and Donald Trump
were living separate lives, reporters called it
nonsense. Melania is living in New York City with her 10-
year-old son, Barron, who is finishing the school year.
President Trumps Senior Counselor, Kellyanne Conway,
tells the magazine that it is none of their business and
that Melania is a role model for doing this for her child.

Voters divided feelings

Voters are divided over Donald Trump,
but since the election, voters have
become more confident in his
judgement. Although, many
voters think there are higher priorities to
focus on rather than building the wall.
Voters are hopeful for the economy,
pessimistic on health care and have mixed feelings towards security.

Trump asked for Flynns accusations

Michael Flynn was asked to resign Monday due to
his actions of misleading the Vice President, Mike
Pence, about his discussions with the US sanctions
during pre-inauguration phone calls. News has
recently surfaced regarding President Donald
Trump knowing this information more than two
weeks ago on January 26, Pence did not find out

15-year-old scheduled to be sentenced

for murder
On Wednesday, Sharron Townsend is scheduled to
be sentenced by a judge for second degree murder
in Jacksonville, Florida. This case occurred in June
of 2012 when police saw a surveillance video of 12-
year-old Townsend shooting a homeless man in the
head.
