ABCDs of strong objectives are included:
A Audience: After teaching the kindergarten students how to count from 0 to 10, they will
work in pairs with a 90% accuracy.

B Behavior: After teaching the kindergarten students how to count from 0 to 10, they will
work in pairs with a 90% accuracy.

C Condition: After teaching the kindergarten students how to count from 0 to 10,
they will work in pairs with a 90% accuracy.

D Degree: After teaching the kindergarten students how to count from 0 to 10, they will
work in pairs with a 90% accuracy.
Select Methods, Media, , and Materials
1. What are the methods (more than 2)?

I will read a book about numbers talking about how to count, the order the numbers go, odd
and even numbers, and how to do simple math. After reading I will write on the board
numbers 0-10 and ask students what numbers are even or odd. Then after students
organize the numbers into odd and even numbers the students will split up in two and help

each other understand the numbers and do simple math from a worksheet handed to them
by me. If the students have any questions they can raise their hands and ask for help.

2. What are the media (EX: flip chart, PowerPoint Slide, computer-based tools, etc.)

Each student will have an dry erase board with a marker and eraser. I will have a
PowerPoint Slide with more pictures where students will have to count how many items are
in the picture. Students will have a few minutes with each picture to try and solve it on their
dry erase boards. This gives the students a way to show how much they understand the
topic, and if they need help I will provide it in a way that will help them understand the
material better.

3. What are the materials (ex: textbook - the book title, Educational Game, WebQuest, etc.)

Book - Annos Counting Book and computer and projector for the PowerPoint slide. These
materials are important for the lesson plan to go smoothly. It will also help the students
engage in the lesson plan more with visuals.

Utilize Media, Materials, and Methods

For each listed above, details of how they will be implemented into the lesson to enhance
learning with using 5Ps.

1. Preview the materials: What you need to preview?

I need to preview the book to make sure it is appropriate for their age and they will
understand it. I also will have to make sure that the computer and projector work fine for the
lesson/classroom.

2. Prepare the materials: What things need to prepare before the lesson?

I have to prepare the PowerPoint for the projector and make sure each student has an
eraser, marker, and dry erase board. I also have to prepare a worksheet with odd and even
numbers and also pictures to help them count. Also, check the projector to make sure it is
working before class starts.

3. Prepare the environment: Where the learning takes place? How about the seating,
lightening, temperature of that place?

The lesson will take place in the classroom. Before class starts make sure each student will
be able to see the PowerPoint from where they are sitting. The temperature of the
classroom will be 68 degrees Fahrenheit and the lighting will be bright during the reading
session so the students can see the book/illustrations and dimmed down once the projector
is being used.

4. Prepare the learners: How you engage students in learning during the warm-up section?

Page 2 of 4 Last Revised: December 11, 2005

How to engage the students in learning during the warm-up section is to bring in math
flashcards to the classroom and count the numbers in order from 0-10 to give an example to
the students on what they will be learning that day.

5. Provide the learning experiences: Outline the Require Learner Participation section.
Require Learner Participation
In one day:

In the morning, students will be gathered on the reading mat and we will warm-up with math
flashcards (should take about 15 minutes). Afterwards we will read together Annos
Counting Book. This will get the students engaged with the lesson because it has visuals. I
will explain to them about odd and even numbers, and after each number they learn and
count I ask them if it is an odd or even number and give them the correct answer after the
students answer (30 minutes). After finishing the book the students will be seated at their
desk and partner up with another student to complete a worksheet handed by me (20
minutes). After working on the worksheet students will each get a marker, eraser, and a dry
erase board. I will turn on the projector with a PowerPoint with more pictures and help the
students count if they have trouble (35-40 minutes). This can be done in one day in an hour
and forty-five minutes, but there may be more days with some counting activities if students
do not understand the material.

If students need extra time:

The lesson will be carried over into the next day with more counting activities by using more
flash cards, computer activities, and in class activities with toy blocks (30 minutes).
Evaluate & Revise
Evaluation methods for each of the following are included:
1. Student Performance: I will use a rubric (below) to see how well the student is
doing.
2. Media Effectiveness: I can try this method out and try other media options later to
see if those work better than the one planned above.
3. Instructor Performance: While I am teaching the lesson, I will pay attention to who
understand the material. After I collect the worksheets and evaluate, I will see if the
students are understanding the material or still need help. If they still do not
understand the material I must revise my lesson plan and possibly have another
teacher help me decide what would be best for the students.
