Lay the case flay, open the lid and remove the machine

Remove the nut & washer that secures the rear leg

Quite la tuerca y la arandela que asegura la pierna de reverso

Lower the rear leg into position

Baje la pierna de reverso en la posicin

Tighten the rear leg to the frame

Apriete la pierna de reverso al marco

Place the machine on base plate * (optional)

Coloque la mquina sobre el embase * (opcional)

Locate the arm on the rotating head shaft and hand tighten the arm securing nut

Localice el brazo sobre el eje rotativo delantero y la mano aprieta el brazo que
asegura la tuerca

Place the arm in the catch block

Coloque el brazo en el bloque coger

Tighten the securing nut fully using the supplied C spanner

Apriete la tuerca de asegurar totalmente que usa la llave de tuercas suministrada C

Prepare to fit the conditioned slider to the shaft

Dispngase a encajar al deslizador condicionado al eje

Remove the retaining pin and first washer

Quite el alfiler de conservar y la primera arandela

Locate the slider on the shaft

Localice al deslizador sobre el eje

Whilst pressing the slider down on the spring replace the washer & retaining pin

Mientras la presin del deslizador durante la primavera sustituye la arandela y

conservando el alfiler
Level the machine by looking down on the spirit level & adjusting the levelling feet
as required

Nivele la mquina por despreciar el nivel de burbuja y ajustar los pies de nivelacin
como requerido

Tighten the lock nuts to secure

Apriete el loco de cerradura para asegurar

Allow the arm to hang vertically so there is no contact with the surface, adjust the
arm height if necessary

Permita al brazo para colgar verticalmente as no hay ningn contacto con la

superficie, ajustar la altura de brazo si fuera necesario

Check the pointer is parallel to the arm by turning the pointer until it comes up
against the pointer stop

Compruebe el indicador es paralelo al brazo por girando el indicador hasta que esto
pase contra la parada de indicador

If necessary adjust by turning the pointer stop adjustment screw

Si fuera necesario adptese por girando el tornillo de ajuste de parada de indicador

The pointer tip should be in line with the mark on the scale plate

La punta de indicador debera ser al igual que la seal sobre el plato de escala

Replace the arm in the catch block & turn the pointer anti-clockwise until it comes
up against the pointer stop

Sustituya el brazo en el bloque coger y gire el indicador en sentido contrario a las

agujas del reloj hasta que esto pase contra la parada de indicador

The machine is ready to be zeroed

La mquina est lista a ser puesta a cero

Ensure there is no obstruction in the path of the swinging arm . then press the
release button

Asegure que no hay ninguna obstruccin en el camino del brazo balanceador.

entonces presione el botn de liberacin

Observe the position of the pointer tip in relation to the zero setting on the scale
plate
Observe la posicin de la punta de indicador en relacin con la puesta a punto cero

If the pointer is not in line with the zero mark, adjust the friction pads by turning the
locking rings

Clock wise to increase the pressure. Anti-clockwise to reduce the pressure

Repeat operation until the pointer reaches the zero mark on atleast 3 consecutive
swings

To set the contact length, unclamp the rear clamping plate to allow movement of
the height adjustment mechanism

Initially set the arm height so that contact length is approximately correct

Using the supplied guage, position the arm slider so that slider gently rests on the
surface. Aling guage to the slider edge

Using the lifting handle to lift the slider to avoid contact with the surface, move the
arm to the other side

Allow the slider to gently rest against the surface.

You can adjust height of the arm via the adjustment knob if correct contact length
was not set previously

Re-check the slider edge against the guage until both line-up. Re-tighten the rear
clamping plate

Place the arm in the catch block and rotate the pointer anti-clockwise against the
pointer stop

To start testing, press the release button & catch the arm on return swing before the
slider hits surface

Para comenzar a probar, presione el botn de liberacin y coja el brazo sobre la

oscilacin de vuelta antes de la superficie de golpes de deslizador

Note and record the value on the scale at the pointer position

Note y registre el valor por la escala en la posicin de indicador

Return the arm to the catch block, by lifting the slider to avoid contact with the
surface

Devuelva el brazo al bloque coger, por levantando al deslizador para evitar el

Repeat until the required number of tests have been completed & recorded.
