Entrepreneurship Management

Homework #1

Investigate about the companies classification according to its sizes and examples

(Ecuadorian business)

Companies have different ways of differentiating themselves from others,

whether by their company or social name, to the sector of the industry in which they

manage their turnover.

It is important to emphasize that one of the most common classifications within

the business sector is the size of the business due to many factors and benefits as well as

disadvantages that can be caused by this classification.

While it is true, the paradigm that encompasses most of the general knowledge

of people is that companies are being classified as small, medium and large, but today

the globalization warrants a clearer and more precise classification.

According to the Instituto Nacional de Estadsticas y Censos INEC (2014)

mentions in its report how companies are classified in Ecuador by it.

The abbreviation for the annual sales volume is V and the number of people

employed is P.

Large: V: $ 5'000.001 onwards P: 200 onwards.

Median "B": V:$ 2'000'001 to $ 5'000.000. P: 100 to 199.

Median "A": V:$ 1'000.0001 to $ 2'000.000. P: 50 to 99.

Small: V: $ 100,001 to $ 1'000,000. P: 10 to 49.

Microenterprise: V: <a $ 100,000. P: 1 to 9.

It is necessary to emphasize the importance of this classification and its based
