To Whom It May Concern:

This letter will serve as a recommendation for Miss Sinead Mohan in support of her candidacy for professional
employment. I have had the privilege of teaching Miss Mohan in three undergraduate Early Childhood/Special
Education courses offered at Neumann University. She is a fine student and an excellent candidate for a teaching
position.

As a student in EDU 230, Introduction to Exceptionalities, SPEC 222, Learning Disabilities, and SPEC 310,
Inclusive Education, Miss Mohan performed high quality work. She is impressive as a conscientious and hard-
working individual who is committed to becoming an excellent teacher. She demonstrates an understanding of
typical and atypical child development, dedicated specific study to the field of learning disabilities, and has
displayed an ability to adapt and modify instruction for students enrolled in inclusive settings. Her knowledge base
is strong as she performed exceptional work within each of these classes. Furthermore, she has applied her skills in
a variety of field placements in which she has served children with special needs.

In addition to her professional preparation, Miss Mohan has been recognized for her academic excellence at
Neumann University through her induction into Delta Epsilon Sigma, a national Catholic scholastic honor society,
and Chi Alpha Sigma, an honor society for athletes. She has maintained a 3.8 grade point average at Neumann, and
is the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship.

Her involvement in campus and service activities is notable as well. Miss Mohan has been a member of the
Neumann University Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track teams, and has participated on the Club
Rugby squad. Her volunteer and service activities have included membership in the Knights for Education, an
organization of Education students which sponsors activities such as Breakfast with Santa and Bubbles for Autism.
She has worked as a CCD teacher in providing religious education for children at St. Bernadettes School and has
served as a tutor at Drexel Neumann Academy. Furthermore, Miss Mohan has traveled abroad for a semester to
enhance her professional studies and has participated in several service learning trips, including a three day
experience at the Benedictine School in Ridgely, Maryland during which she worked with students with multiple
disabilities. She is to be commended for her commitment to service and volunteerism that has been demonstrated
through her involvement in these many activities.

Upon graduation in May, 2017, Miss Mohan will have completed all undergraduate coursework required for
certification in the areas of PreK 4 and Special Education. She is a thoughtful, caring, and conscientious
individual who is committed to her professional development through her undergraduate studies. She is an
outstanding representative of Neumann Universitys Early Elementary/Special Education teacher preparation
program. I am pleased to offer a recommendation on behalf of Miss Mohan in support of her candidacy for
professional employment.

Sincerely,

Daniel McKee
