For Breeder Hens

Indications
This vaccine has been developed for use in breeder hens and replacement pullets to
give broad protection against Newcastle disease and Infectious Bronchitis (Mass.
types) and to provide maternal antibodies for the early protection of progeny
against Reovirus related malabsorption syndrome and tenosynovitis and against
Type 1, Infectious Bursal disease (Gumboro disease), standard strain. When
injected, the vaccine produces a high level of circulating antibody (humoral
immunity), which is maintained throughout the production cycle. This provides
high levels of parental immunity in the progeny. This is the only way to provide
protection to the chick during the critical first few days of life. Early infection with
IBD (Gumboro disease) causes permanent damage to the immune system and
leaves the flock susceptible to many other diseases. Early infection with Reovirus is
responsible for tenosynovitis and malabsorption syndrome with all of its various
disease conditions (pale bird syndrome, femoral head necrosis, stunting disease,
helicopter disease, etc.).

Description
It is produced with a high tittering strain of Newcastle Disease virus and the
Massachusetts strain of IB virus. This is the most serious and common Bronchitis
strain that infect chicken flocks. It contains two reovirus strains: the S1 133 strain
(a tenosynovitis pathotype) and the 1733 strain (a malabsorption syndrome
pathotype). It also contains one IBD strains: the standard Type 1 strain. By using
virus concentration, large amounts of all antigens are provided in a 1/2 ml dose.
When injected, the oil emulsion controls the absorption of the virus and greatly
enhances the development of high levels of immunity. The product meets rigid
'Quality Control' standards of Purity, Safety and Potency as per individual
monographs of viral vaccines of B.P. (Vet).
Composition
Each dose contains not less than a pre-inactivation titer of 1 x 109 EID50 Newcastle
disease virus, 1 x 106.2 TCID50 Infectious Bursal disease virus, 1 x 106.9 EID50 of
Avian Infectious Bronchitis virus and 1 x 105.8 TCID50 1733 & 1 x 106.3 TCID50
S1133 strains.

Advantages
It provides a broader range of Bronchitis protection than other commercial
vaccines. This killed virus vaccine in oil emulsion provides more consistent high
titers throughout the production period than the live virus vaccines. The IB and ND
viruses are contagious and can recycle within the flock. This can cause loss of egg
production without symptoms. This vaccine protects the reproductive system
against homologous strains and prevents such egg losses. It can be safely
administered at any age. Immunity is delivered to the farm with the chicks.

Dosage & Administration

Birds should be "primed" with live virus Newcastle-Bronchitis vaccine at 10 to 14
days and at 12 weeks of age. Prime with attenuated live virus tenosynovitis vaccine
at 7 days and at 12 weeks of age. Prime with mild or intermediate strain of live
virus IBD vaccine at 21 days and 12 weeks of age. Vaccinate with this vaccine
between 16 and 20 weeks of age. If birds are held for a second year, revaccinate
during molt. Dosage is 1/2 ml (0.5 ml) per bird. Vaccine should be brought to room
temperature before use. Inject subcutaneously in the lower neck region using
aseptic technique. Inject all birds in the flock.
Warning: Do not vaccinate within 42 days before slaughter.
Caution
The capability of this vaccine to produce satisfactory results depends upon many
factors, including - but not limited to - conditions of storage and handling by the
user, administration of the vaccine, health and responsiveness of individual
chickens, and degree of field exposure. Therefore, directions for use should be
followed carefully.

Precautions

Do not use chemical disinfectants for sterilization

Remove the vaccine from refrigerator at least 1 day before

Packaging & Storage

It is available in 500 ml polypropylene bottles. Each contains 1000 doses of vaccine,
packed 18 bottles per case.
Store between 2C and 8C. Do not freeze. Protect from light.
