Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies

Beginning the Lesson


3min Opening activity: Ask the students a question: Do we have influence on the world? Can we
change the world, and the things are happening around the world?? If yes, how so?

- Let them answer the question in the pair.


- Ask two- three volunteers for their answer.
- Tell the students to remember their answer because in the end of the class you will ask the
same question, and see if students changed their minds.
5min.
From the last class we could learn that UN is trying to change the world, make it a better
place for people.

Teacher will explain to the students what they are going continue learn about the UN, but
during this class, they are going to focus on the major problems in the world and trying to
find solutions.

But before teacher will continue with that teacher will make a small review from the
previous class, by asking students questions. Through that teacher can see as well what
do they remember, and know.

Developing the Lesson

The class will be divided into small groups (4 people in each group).

- Teacher will make their own groups and put their names on the board, so when they
10-15 enter the class they will know in which group they are working. Each group will be sitting
min. in a different table, so the students will fill comfortable to communicate with each other.

- Teacher will make sure that they are no more than four groups.

Each group will have to discuss one of the world problem s, which are human rights,
poverty, peace, and try to find solution. Teacher will given each group a different
problem to work with.

15min. One student from each group, or the whole group will present a group solution in front of
the class. All groups will have 3-4min. for presentation.

Closing the Lesson


5min.
- Repeat the same question from the beginning of the class, and see if students change their
answers? Ask two or three students why do they changed it ,if they did so why, or why
they did not?

- Ask another two or three students what do they learn from this small group presentation?

Formative Assessment Differentiation

As students are working in the group,


teacher will walk around the class and
listen, give advice, and correct student if
necessary.
In the end of the class teacher will ask some
students questions, and through that will see
their understanding of todays class.

Power point presentation, papers for each group, pencils, color pens, marker and board., pictures with
worlds problems.
