Structure of Have/Has Got

We use Have/Has Got to:


indicate possession about objects, always in a present time (Remember
that the past form of the verb have is had, that we will not use for the
moment)
in a speaking time on the British English

1) Affirmate form

Subject + has/have got + complement

Examples:

- You have got the last DVD movie of Starwars


- John has got a new pencil imported from Germany.

2) Negative form

Subject + have not got/ has not got + complement

You Have not got (haven`t got)

Examples:

- Mike and Rose havent got my Chemistry book that I borrowed them last
week.
- Andrew hasnt got a moustache like you told me when I asked you.
3) Question Form

Have/Has Got + Subject + Complement?

Examples:

- Have you got the tickets of Bon Jovis concert for next friday?
No, I havent got. I thought you have them on your wallet.

- Has Emily got the present for your mother?


Yes, she has got. I gave it yesterday.
