Tee COMPONENT Implementation Procedure: The National Medicinal Plants Board, Ministry of AYUSH is implementing the Medicinal Plants Component under NAM in all the States/ UTs through State Government designated agencies like State Directorate of Horticulture/ Agriculture or State Medicinal Plants Board termed as "State Mission”. The cultivators/ farmers/ cluster of farmers interested to cultivate Medicinal Plants and selling of its produce from different districts of the State may avail financial assistance of NMPB, Ministry of AYUSH for the following component*: a) Support to development of Nursery - Model (4ha.) and Small (1 ha.). b) Forthecultivation of Medicinal Plants subsidy @ 75%, 50% & 30% of cost of cultivation. ©) Support forsetting up of seeds/ germplasm centre, organic / GAP certification. d) Post-Harvest Management: Collection centre, drying sheds and storage godown. e) Processingand value addition: Processing unit, marketing infrastructure. *Note: Norms of assistance for above mentioned components are placed at (Table -II) & (Table-IV) NMPB has prioritised 140 Medicinal Plants species suitable for different agro-climatic regions however, cost norms of 95 species (Iable-I) has been worked out, (Table-I) indicates the details of implementing agencies operational in different states. For all the above component towards implementation farmers / cultivators are required to inform the State Mission / State Implementing Agencies in respect of their activities to be taken up. The State implementing agencies is supposed to prepare an Annual Action Plan of the State considering those districts in respect of activities to be taken up of the concerned year and submit the same through State AYUSH Society to NAM Directorate, Ministry of AYUSH, Governmentof India. NMPB will monitor the programme through officers / inspection team in differentintervals.
