Type I For use when the special properties specified for any other type are not required.
Type IA Air-entraining cement for the same uses as Type I, where air-entrainment is desired.
Type II For general use, more especially when moderate sulfate resistance is desired.
Type IIA Air-entraining cement for the same uses as Type II, where air-entrainment is desired.
Type II(MH) For general use, more especially when moderate heat of hydration and moderate
sulfate resistance are desired.
Type II(MH)A Air-entraining cement for the same uses as Type II(MH), where air-entrainment
is desired.
Type III For use when high early strength is desired.
Type IIIA Air-entraining cement for the same use as Type III, where air-entrainment is desired.

STANDARD SPECIFICATION FOR
PORTLAND CEMENT
Portland cement of each of the eight types must have the following chemical
compositions: aluminum oxide, ferric oxide, magnesium oxide, sulfur trioxide,
tricalcium silicate, dicalcium silicate, tricalcium aluminate, and tetracalcium
aluminofernite.
ASTM C 618 - 08A
STANDARD SPECIFICATION FOR COAL FLY
ASH AND RAW OR CALCINED NATURAL
POZZOLAN FOR USE IN CONCRETE
Covers coal fly ash and raw or calcined natural pozzolan for use in concrete
where cementitious or pozzolanic action, or both, is desired, or where other
properties normally attributed to fly ash or pozzolans may be desired, or
where both objectives are to be achieved.
CLASSIFICATION:
Samples of freshly mixed concrete from at least three separate batches for
each condition of concrete shall be tested in accordance with:
Slump
Air content
Time of setting
Water content
Low-density
Excellent pumping qualities
Light but strong
Permeable or non-permeable
Self-leveling
Insulating
INGREDIENTS USED IN CELLULAR
CONCRETE
Cement
Lime
Water
Finely ground sand
Fly ash
Expansion Agent
TYPES OF CELLULAR
CONCRETE
AUTOCLAVED CELLULAR CONCRETE
cellular concrete possesses liquid consistency and the roughness of the soil
surface is not of great importance;
the depth of the ditch is immensely reduced
cellular concrete protects the foundation from softening in rainy weather
decreasing of destruction, backfilling and compaction of the bulk material can
lead to foundation destruction with all consequences.
ROADS
BRIDGES
Used as backfill for the void between the soil and the tube.
material matures it increases in volume
this allows to fill all voids and cavities
at the same time the material serves as a perfect heat
insulator, noise absorber and is water-resistant.
