be dependent on how you use PRESENTED COURSE MATERIAL to fully answer one of the

following prompts. You must think about your answer and use specific details such as names and

events that are included in your topic. Answer each aspect of the questions thoroughly.

1. Using your notes and class work, discuss the lives of the working class in Great

Britain. What legal aspects were changing in Great Britain? Was the working class

living through good conditions? Discuss one major societal change that occurred in

Great Britain during the 19th and early 20th centuries and discuss how this change

happened.

2. Using your notes and in class work, explain how the potato famine effected the Irish

people. What was the potato famine? How did people live during the Potato Famine?

Where could people go if they decided to leave Ireland?

3. Explain what the Dreyfus affair was and why it was important to Jewish People in

France. Who was Alfred Dreyfus? Why was he exiled from France? Should he have

been exiled? What happened after he was exiled?
