PRAYER FOR PERFECTING A SAINT

(OR FOR YOUR SPOUSE OR LOVED ONE)

Dear Father,

I pray for _____________today, that You may surround him/her with favour as a
shield (Ps. 5:12). May You open his/her ears to hear Your voice. May You open
his/her eyes to see Your guidance; and may You open his/ her heart to receive
Your wisdom. May You give him/her a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the
knowledge of You, and may the eyes of his/her heart be enlightened so that
he/she may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the
glory of Your inheritance in the saints and what is the surpassing greatness of
Your power toward us who believe (Eph. 1: 17-19).

I bind the spirits of rebellion, stubbornness and doublemindedness far from

him/her in the Name of Jesus, that he/she may be free to walk in Your ways and
that he/she may be stable in all his/her work and that You will renew his/her
strength as the eagle's (Is. 40: 31). May You surround him/her with angelic
protection in every place he/she goes (Ps. 91:11) and may You bring victory to
him/her in every place the sole of his/her foot treads (Jos. 1: 3).

May You prosper him/her in every task that he/she puts his/her hand to, and may
he/she be fruitful in all he/she undertakes, as he/she seeks the counsel of wise
men and delights and meditates on Your word (Ps. 1: 1-3). As he/she delights in
You, may You give him/her the desires of his/her heart (Ps 37: 4).

I bind the spirits of pride, spiritual blindness, self-sufficiency and self-

righteousness far from him/her in the Name of Jesus, in order that he/she may be
quick to give You all the glory for what You are doing in his/her life. I bind the
spirits of philosophy, deception and religious tradition far from him/her in the
Name of Jesus, so that he/she will not be deluded or pulled off the path that You
have chosen for him/her (Col. 2:8) and so that he/she may attain to all the wealth
that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true
knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the
treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2: 2-3).

May wisdom enter his/her heart, and knowledge be pleasant to his/her soul; may
discretion guard him/her, and understanding watch over him/her to deliver
him/her from the way of evil (Prov. 2:10-12). May he/she trust in You with all
his/her heart and lean not on his/her own understanding and may he/she
acknowledge You in all his/her ways, and may You make his/her paths straight
(Prov. 3: 5).
In the Name of Jesus, I also bind the spirits of procrastination, laziness,
complacency and foolishness far from him/her, so that he/she will not be delayed
or diverted from moving ahead with You in the works that You have already
created for him/her to accomplish (Eph. 2:19). May he/she not be carnally
minded, which is death, but may he/she be spiritually minded, which is life and
peace (Rom. 8:6). May he/she be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all
spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that he/she may walk in a manner worthy
of You, to please You in all respect, bearing fruit in every good work and
increasing in the knowledge of You, strengthened with all power according to
Your glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously
giving thanks to You, who have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the
saints in the kingdom of light (Col. 1: 9)

May You give him/her a deep thirst for Your word, and may You give a strong
hunger to move in the power of the Holy Spirit. Father, I know that You will lead
him/her into all the truth by Your Spirit (John 16:13) so that I can thank You and
praise You and have confidence that since You have begun a good work in
him/her, You will complete it (Phil. 1:6). You will cause him/her to excel in all that
he/she puts his/her hand to, so I trust You to guide him/her, since it is not by
might, nor by power, but by Your Spirit (Zech. 4:6).

May the words of his/her mouth and the meditation of his/her heart be acceptable
in Your sight, O Lord (Ps. 19:14). May he/she be slow to anger, and not be quick-
tempered (Prov. 14:29) and may he/she have a soothing tongue (Prov. 15:4).

May You give him/her, his/her heart's desire and not withhold the request of
his/her lips (Ps. 21: 2).

May You make him/her to know Your ways, O Lord; may You teach him/her in
the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man, and may You
keep him/her secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues (Ps. 31:20). When
he/she is tempted, I thank You that You will always provide a way of escape, that
he/she may be able to endure it (1 Cor. 10:13).

In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

reproduce. I make Gods Word my words.
I have been made complete in Him. I am growing up in my salvation. My
faith is growing exceedingly.
God is faithful. What He said, He is able to bring to pass.
Gods Word comes out of my mouth, and it accomplishes what God
desires and achieves the purpose for which He sent it.
I desire to please my heavenly Father by imitating Him.
I will walk in love and walk by faith in Gods Word.
I do not go beyond Gods Word. I speak not worldly words, but I speak
godly words.
Whatever is of a good report, I speak it and think it.
My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory in
Christ Jesus.
He is my shepherd, so I dont have a care in the world.
I can say what God has said. Because He has said, Never will I leave you
and never will I forsake you, I can say with boldness, The Lord is my
helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
All things are possible with God, and I choose to believe in Him.
The world may trust in horses and chariots, but I trust in the name of the
Lord.
His name is a strong tower; I run to it and am safe.
Like Mary, I receive Gods Word inside my heart, I meditate on it, and it
becomes flesh.
I will not speak what comes to my mind but will speak what is in Gods
mind.
Gods Word will not return to Him void, but will accomplish what He
desires and achieve the purpose for which He sent it.
I plant the imperishable Word of God into my life and into others. It never
fails to produce.
I can trust in Gods Word because it is impossible for God to lie. Let every
man be a liar, and let God be true.
I prophesy according to the measure of faith within me. I take Gods Word
and speak it out of my mouth before it happens.
My faith comes by hearing as I listen to the Word of God.
The hand of the Lord is upon me. As I prophesy, great things happen.
I am a vessel for the Lord. He uses me as He sees fit. He is the potter,
and I am the clay.
Though the outward man is decaying, my inward man is being renewed
day by day. My youth is renewed like the eagles. Like Moses, my eyes are
not growing dim nor is my strength gone.
I do not forget any of the Lords benefits. He forgives all my iniquities, and
He heals all my diseases. He satisfies my desires with good things. He
redeems my life from the pit and crowns me with love and compassion.
God works through my words.
I release Christ in me, the hope of glory.
I hear the sound of an abundance of blessings. It is coming my way! Glory
be to God!
I am a king. I reign in life through Jesus Christ.
I am in charge of my life through Gods power. I am not subject to the
worlds troubles.
I am a priest and a king.
I live by faith, not by sight. It doesnt matter what I feel like; I am a king.
I reign in life through Jesus Christ.
I rule over Satan and his cohort. I tread on serpents and scorpions.
Nothing they try to do can harm me. I am under Gods protection.
I have the keys of the kingdom of God. What I bind, heaven binds. What I
loose, heave looses.
I bind all forces of evil in my life. I loose all the blessings of God into my
life.
I put a guard over my mouth. I refuse to say anything wrong. I speak only
Gods Word.
My body lines up to the words of my mouth. What I say is what I get. My
body works perfectly, just the way God intended it to work.
I dont verbalize my fears. I verbalize only my faith.
It doesnt matter what trials come my way; I only speak what is a good
report. The report of the Lord is Im healed, Im blessed, and I have victory
through faith in Jesus Christ.
I am raised up with Christ and made to sit with Him in heavenly places. I
am on top of the world.
I have no reason to fear the future. God has plans to prosper me and not
harm me. He has plans to give me hope and a future.
I am following Gods plan for my life.
I know where Im going because I have Gods wisdom in my life. Jesus
has given me wisdom from God.
I am filled with good things by the fruit of my lips.
Life and blessings are on my tongue. I speak only the good and not the
bad.
The life I am now living is the result of the words I spoke in the past. So, I
am speaking good things now; later my life will become these good words.
I will not walk in the negative words that people have spoken over my life.
I bind those negative words from my life.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I will live and not die, and I will declare the glory of the Lord.
I am a world over comer.
Greater is the Holy Spirit who is in me than the devil who is in the world.
All things work together for my good because I love God and are called
according to His good purpose.
Jesus bore the thorns to redeem me from the curse. I can produce fruit.
I am a fruit-bearing branch of the vine of Jesus Christ.
In Him I live, move, and have my being. I am a new creature in Christ
Jesus.
I am not going to let things happen to me. I am going to make things
happen through my authority as a child of God.
My success has nothing to do with luck or chance; it has to do with Jesus.
He is my Lord! He is my boss.
I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. The old me have died. The new me
am full of joy, peace, and love.
Angels protect me and encamp around me because I trust in the Lord.
God is good and never brings tragedy into my life.
I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
God has predestined me to be conformed into the image of His dear Son.
I am adopted into Gods family. I can call God, Father.
I am one of His chosen ones. He picked me for His family because He
wanted to.
God has set before me life and death. So, I choose life.
There is now no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus. I
have chosen Christ because He has chosen me!
I believe in divine healing.
I receive healing according to my faith.
Jesus heals all my diseases and sicknesses. He is still the same
yesterday, today, and forever.
I make Jesus my doctor and best physician.
Surely, Jesus took up my infirmities and carried my sorrow. By His stripes
I am healed.
God is not the author of sickness and disease. Satan is the oppressor,
and I resist Satan now.
I forbid Satan to put any disease in my body. My body is the temple of the
Holy Spirit.
I resist all symptoms. I live by faith not by sight.
I am in this world, but I am not of this world. I am delivered from this
present evil world.
A merry heart does well to me like medicine.
The joy of the Lord is my strength. The glory of the Lord is my rearguard.
Gods Word is life and health unto all my flesh.
Every part of my body functions perfectly. My eyes work well. My ears
work well. My muscles work well. My heart works well. My bones work
well. All my organs, tissues, cells, ligaments, and hormones and blood
work well.
The Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is dwelling inside me and is
making alive my mortal body.
Jesus paid for my healing, so Im walking in health.
I know the grace of my Lord Jesus Christ. Though He was rich, yet for my
sake He became poor so that I could become rich.
I am rich. I am abundantly supplied. I am highly effective. I am a success
in every way.
I use the power of God to meet any need. I do not lack any good thing.
I am a seed of Abraham, so I am blessed along with him. I have his
blessings. I walk in the blessings of Abraham.
I remember the Lord, for it is He who gives me the ability to create wealth.
I am blessed so that I can be a blessing.
I refuse to allow the spirit of greed to control my life.
I am a tither and give. I give, and it is given back to me in good measure,
pressed down, shaken together, and running over.
The Lord opens up the windows of heaven and pours out on me so many
blessings that I have to yell, Thats enough!
The devil is rebuked from touching my finances.
Christ has redeemed me from the curse of poverty, so I refuse to be poor.
Poverty is underneath my feet.
I am the head and not the tail. I lend unto many, but I do not have to
borrow.
I live under a better covenant, a covenant that has been ratified by the
blood of Jesus.
Jesus is the Guarantee of all the promises of God. He makes sure that I
enjoy all my privileges and rights under the new agreement.
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
I am growing in the grace of God. I am experiencing Gods unmerited
favor. I have favor with God and with men.
People look upon me with kindness because I see people as my friends,
not as enemies.
I approach the throne of grace with boldness. I have a right to the
Presence of God.
I receive grace every time I ask for it. I ask, and I receive.
I am as bold as a lion. I refuse to fear anything. I do not fear even when I
hear bad news. My heart is fixed on trusting in the Lord.
Wealth and riches are in my house.
My faith may be tested, but I will pass the test.
I inherit all the promises of God through faith and patience.
I will not become bitter toward anyone, even if they slander me. I will pray
for those who persecute me.
Im not afraid of the devil or his schemes. I have dominion over him.
I fear not because God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of love,
power, and a sound mind.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers me from
them all.
In this world I shall have tribulations, but I am of good cheer, because
Christ has overcome the world.
I am a world over comer because I live by faith, not by sight.
I have mountain-moving faith. I speak to mountains, and they obey me.
I have Godlike faith. I believe; therefore, I speak. I have the spirit of faith.
This faith overcomes obstacles.
I put on Gods fighting clothes. I put on the belt of truth. I have my feet
covered with the preparation of the gospel of peace. I have my breastplate
of righteousness in place. I put on the helmet of salvation and take up the
sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God. And above all else, I use the
shield of faith to guard me from the arrows of the evil one.
I am shielded by Gods faith and power.
I am a participant in the divine nature. I have Gods faith, Gods peace,
Gods joy, Gods love, Gods patience, and Gods strength.
I am regenerated. I have Gods spiritual genes. If youve seen me, youve
seen the Father. As Christ is, so am I in this world.
I am growing up in my salvation. I have the joy of my salvation.
My faith is growing exceedingly fast.
I am learning to listen to Gods voice and obey His Word.
I refuse to say anything that I dont hear my Father saying. I speak only
what I hear my Father speak.
God has a wonderful plan for me. He plans to prosper me and not to harm
me. He plans to give me hope and a future.
I trust God. I do not fear the future, because God is in control of my life.

THE DAILY AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
By Dr Victor Matthew

Today I deliberately choose to submit myself fully to God as He has made

Himself known to me through the Holy Scripture, which I honestly accept as the
only inspired, infallible, authoritative standard for all life and practice. In this day I
will not judge God, His work, myself, or others on the basis of feeling or
circumstances.

1. I recognize by faith that the triune God is worthy of all honor, praise,
and worship as the Creator, sustainer, and end of all things. I confess
that God, as my creator, made me for Himself. In this day I therefore
choose to live for Him (Rev.5: 9-10; Is. 43:1,7,21; Rev. 4:11).

2. I recognize by faith that God loved me and chose me in Jesus Christ

before time began (Eph.1: 1-7).

3. I recognize by faith that God has proven His love to me in sending His
Son to die in my place, in whom every provision has already been
made for my past, present, and future needs through His
representative work, and that I have been quickened, raised, seated
with Jesus Christ in the heavenlies, and anointed with the Holy Spirit
(Rom. 5:6-11; 8:28-39;Phil. 1:6; 4:6-7,13,19; Eph. 1:3; 2:5-6; Act6s 2:1-
4,33).

4. I recognize by faith that God has accepted me since I have received

Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior (John 1:12; Eph. 1:6); that He has
forgiven me (Eph. 1:7); adopted me into His family, assuming every
responsibility for me (John 17:11,17;Eph. 1:5; Phil. 1:6); given me
eternal life (John 3:16; 1 John 5:9-13); applied the perfect
righteousness of Christ to me so that I am now justified (Rom. 5:1; 8:3-
4; 10:4); made me complete in Christ (Col. 2:10); and offers Himself to
me as my daily sufficiency through prayer and the decisions of faith (1
Cor. 1:30; Col. 1:27; Gal.2:20; John 14: 13-14; Matt. 21:22; Rom.6:1-
19; Heb. 4:1-3,11).

5. I recognize by faith that the Holy Spirit has baptized me into the body
of Christ (1 Cor.12: 13); sealed me (Eph. 1:13-14); anointed me for life
and service (Acts 1:8; John7: 37-39); seeks to lead me into a deeper
walk with Jesus Christ (John 14:16-18; 15:26-27; 16:13-15; Rom.8: 11-
16); and to fill my life with Himself (Eph. 5:18).

6. I recognize by faith that only God can deal with sin and only God can
produce holiness of life. I confess that in my salvation my part was only
to receive Him and that He dealt with my sin and saved me. Now I
confess that in order to live a holy life, I can only surrender to His will
and receive Him as my sanctification; trusting Him to do whatever may
be necessary in my life, without and within, so I may be enabled to live
today in purity, freedom, rest, and power for His glory (John 1:12;
1Cor. 1:30; 2Cor. 9:8: Gal. 2:20; Heb. 4:9; 1 John5: 4; Jude 24).

Having confessed that God is worthy of all praise, that the Scriptures are the
only authoritative standard, that only God can deal with sin and produce
holiness of life, I again recognize my total dependence upon Him and
submission to Him. I accept the truth that praying in faith is absolutely
necessary for the realization of the will and grace of God in my daily life (1
John 5:14-15; James 2:6; 4:2-3; 5:16-18; Phil. 4:6-7; Heb. 4:1-13; 11:6, 25-
28).

Recognizing that faith is a total response to God by which the daily

provision the Lord has furnished in Himself are appropriated, I therefore make
the following decisions of faith:

1. For this day (Heb. 3:6, 13, 15; 4:7) I make the decision of faith to
surrender wholly to the authority of God as He has revealed
Himself in the Scripture to obey Him. I confess my sin, face the
sinful reality of my old nature, and deliberately choose to walk in the
light, in step with Christ, throughout the hours of this day (Rom.
6:16-20; Phil. 2:12-13; 1 John 1:7, 9).

2. For this day I make the decision of faith to surrender wholly to the
authority of God as revealed in the Scripture to believe Him. I
accept only his Word as final authority, I now believe that since I
have confessed my sin He has forgiven and cleansed me (1 John
1:9). I accept at full value His Word of promise to be my sufficiency
and rest, and will conduct myself accordingly (Exod.33: 1; 1Cor.
1:30; 2Cor. 9:8; Phil. 4:19).

3. For this day I make the decision of faith to recognize that God has
made every provision so that I may fulfill His will and calling.
Therefore, I will not make any excuse for my sin and failure
(1Thess. 5:24).

4. For this day I make the decision of faith deliberately to receive from
God that provision which He has made for me. I renounce all self-
effort to live the Christian life and to perform Gods service;
renounce all sinful praying which asks God to change
circumstances and people so that I may be more spiritual;
renounce all drawing back from the work of the Holy Spirit within
and the call of God without; and renounce all non biblical motives,
goals, and activities which serve my sinful pride.

a. I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my sanctification,

particularly as my cleansing from the old nature, and ask the
Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of Christ accomplished
for me in the Crucifixion. In cooperation with and
dependence upon Him, I obey the command to put off the
old man (Rom. 6:1-14; 1Cor. 1:30; Gal. 6:14; Eph. 4:22).

b. I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my sanctification,

particularly as my enablement moment by moment to live
above sin, and ask the Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of
the Resurrection so that I may walk in newness of life. I
confess that only God can deal with my sin and only God
can produce holiness and the fruit of the Spirit in my life. In
cooperation with and dependence upon Him, I obey the
command to put on the new man (Rom. 6:1-4; Eph. 4:24).

c. I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my deliverance from

Satan and take my position with Him in the heavenlies,
asking the Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of the
Ascension. In His name I submit myself to God and stand
against all of Satans influence and subtlety. In cooperation
with and dependence upon God, I obey the command to
resist the devil (Eph. 1:2-23; 2:5; 5:27; 6:10-18; Col. 1:13;
Heb. 2:14-15; James 4:7; 1 Pet. 3:22; 5:8-9).

d. I now sincerely receive the Holy Spirit as my anointing for

every aspect of life and service for today. I fully open my life
to Him to fill me afresh in obedience to the command to be
filled with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18; John 7:37-39; 14:16-
17; 15:26-27; 16:7-15; Acts 1:8).

Having made this confession and these decisions of faith, I now receive Gods

promised rest for this day (Heb. 4:1-13). Therefore, I relax in the trust of faith,

knowing that in the moment of temptation, trial, or need, the Lord Himself will be

there as my strength and sufficiency (1 Cor. 10:13).
