Transformation of political parties- from ideological or aggregative
platforms to authoritarian private enterprises

Within a political society

Electoral System- formal rules that prevail over the conversion of votes into
seats

The actions of one system or players affects the functioning of the other
systems or players involved

THREE PHASES OF TRANSFORMATION

1. One-Party Dominant System (1952-1977)


2. Phase of Alternation (1977, mid-1990s)
3. Multiparty Cooperative System (post mid-1990s)
