other slaves would have to make their own with very little materials that they had.Sometimes
they were given pots and pans for cooking, but more often they had to make their own. As soon
as Abraham Lincoln announced his running for presidency and how he believed slavery was
wrong slaves got more excited. Lincoln had always believed slavery was wrong and he was
willing to help slaves and help them become free.

Begin Essay here: Please follow model below

First of all, Abraham Lincoln strongest argument for being against slavery was
moriarty and he always saw slaves as humans who deserve the same rights as others. In
the movie Lincoln, he said I never considered slaves as property Also in document F it says,
if slavery isn't wrong then nothing is wrong, and in the movie Lincoln said, Slavery troubled me
as long as I could remember. From these three pieces of evidence we can infer that
Lincoln's strongest argument against slavery was because of moral reasons and he
wanted everyone to be equal in terms of human rights. Lincoln believed so strongly in
getting rid of slavery he said if slavery isn't wrong nothing is wrong to try to change
slave owners minds and soon hopefully free slaves but not only that, he also said it
because he never liked slavery as it had always troubled him, for example when he
became president he became president of a divided country and the reason for that was
slavery, one side wanted it and the other side did not. His strongest argument for ending
slavery was because morality and one of the reasons why he thought it was morally wrong is
because he wanted everyone to be equal.
Another reason why Abraham Lincoln strongest argument to end slavery was
because he pushed for legal documents while he was in presidency. In document A it says
Disappointment by the reaction of most Cabinet member to his initial draft of the Emancipation
Proclamation in July 1862 Also in document d it said Congress and the president made a
piece of legislation that said anyone who helped with the anti-slavery initiatives would get
financial aid from the government. and in the movie it said that the 13th amendment was
passed. Once Lincoln became president more people started to see slavery as a bad thing and
that it was morally wrong therefore them and Lincoln pushed for the 13th amendment to be
passed, and as a result it was. Lincoln also believed that anti-slavery initiatives were worth
enough money as they were providing to the people helping out. Being able to further the
anti slave trade was important to him. Therefore he said initiatives would get financial
aid from the government.(Doc D) Lastly, the cabinet members opinion seemed to matter
to Lincoln and from this we can infer that he wanted everyone to agree and come to an
appropriate emancipation proclamation for the country. Lincoln pushed for legal documents
to end slavery because of moral beliefs.
Lastly, moral beliefs was Lincoln's strongest argument for ending slavery because
took multiple risks to abolish it. But the loss only made Lincoln more determined. (Doc G)
and said in the movie He made the war longer even when his son was fighting. From these
two pieces of evidence we can say that Lincoln would go to extremes for our country, he
was a very good person/president that didn't agree with slavery. Also because he keeped
the war longer while his son was fighting we can infer that his belief in freeing slaves
was very strong that he took the risk of losing his son, and after all his all time goal was
to end slavery once and forall. Lincoln took multiple risks but all to end slavery because he
knew that it was morally wrong.
There was on one document where it said If I could save the Union without freeing any
slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save
it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that (Doc C)From this we can
infer that maybe Lincoln wasn't always 100% against slavery. Maybe even we can infer
that Lincoln didn't really care about slaves as much as some of us think because he said
the only reason why he's freeing slaves is to save the union and not exactly for moral
reasons. But if that were the reason why would he push for legal documents, take big
risks, and push for ending slavery.
Lincoln's strongest argument on ending slavery was because of his moral beliefs.
LIncoln wanted equality for all, meaning ending slavery, he also pushed for legal document to
be passed such as the 13th amendment and the emancipation proclamation, and lastly he took
multiple risk one even to lose his son. Lincoln had seen slavery as something morally wrong
and was one of the first president to actually do something about it, but if other presidents
thought it was morally wrong too then why did they not try as hard as Lincoln to get rid of it?
