Lisa Hansen, with her husband Zach, started Growing Brilliant in 2013 with their Rocklin
location. Lisa is a credentialed elementary school teacher and also has experience as a
preschool teacher and reading specialist. Lisa holds a masters degree in education and is
currently working on her doctoral dissertation at the University of San Francisco. Through
her research, Lisa has learned that early experiences are directly linked to academic
achievement later in life. She has a passion for early childhood development and believes in
promoting lifelong learning.

Lisa enjoys creating exceptional curriculum and educational experiences with her amazing
staff of teachers.

Our favorite part about Growing Brilliant is knowing that our daughter (and her
classmates!) have the best possible early learning experiences. We absolutely love taking
her to our Preschool Academy and Parent Participation classes. We feel blessed that we can
share Growing Brilliant with so many other parents!

Fitness and nutrition has always been a big part of my life.
After battling cancer for five years, I personally identify
with the importance of staying healthy, and being fit, for
a better quality of life. I have contributed to the fitness
industry since 1988. My first teaching experience began
with the Sports Club of El Dorado, in Shingle Springs,
CA. Once I committed to a career in fitness, I accepted the
Sacramento Group Exercise Director position for 24 Hour
Fitness. I was responsible for the Group X programs for
five area clubs. Intermittently, I also taught fitness classes
for corporations, with on-campus gym facilities, like Intel
and Hewlett Packard. In 1998, I started Get Fit with Melody
mobile fitness, and it has since been my dream to open a
studio. I achieved that dream on November 15, 2013.
