I cant tell you how sad I am that the local Wingers closed its doors and left town. There are

And can I just say that I am a fan of any restaurant that serves free popcorn for an appetizer?
Peanuts, meh, I could do without. Bread, I actually quite like especially Texas Roadhouse
(the best rolls on the planet) and Lonestar (that dark pumpernickel bread, gahhhh) and Iggys
with the chili dipping sauce! G ET M Y EC O O KBO O K!

Woah. Mental carb loading right now.

But popcorn. Thats where its at. How can you not have a good meal when it starts with
popcorn?? And a nice bonus is the fact that you can get through the whole bucket of popcorn
and still have room for your dinner. As much as I love bread (LOVE bread) I rarely have room
for even half of my dinner after snarfing down a loaf of honey-buttered french bread. Is it just
me, or is it basically impossible to leave uneaten free bread on the table when youre waiting
for what seems like an eternity for your meal to arrive? You know what Im talking about. Its

http://www.lecremedelacrumb.com/2014/09/wingersstickyfingers.html 2/30
4/30/2016 Winger'sStickyFingersCremeDeLaCrumb
almost unethical. Youve gotta eat the bread.

Ive eaten at Wingers seven hundred times (or somewhere around there, Ive lost track) and I
always get the sticky fingers. Ive tried bites of a few other things when friends or family
ordered something else, and they were good, but I always come back to those dang sticky
fingers. Theyre so addicting! But now that we dont have a Wingers close by anymore, Ive
had to find a way to get my stickyfinger-fix without going on a road trip and this recipe is the
answer people. Its so so easy and only takes 30 minutes to whip these babies up. The other
day I went a little crazy and dipped them in all sorts of sauces including blue cheese, honey
mustard, and green goddess dressing, but I always come back to that classic combo: sticky
fingers + ranch. 0:0/0:0

Plus these are baked, not fried, so theyre healthier than the restaurant version and you can
feed the whole family on this meal for a fraction of the price it costs to take everyone out. Do
you need any more convincing?? MAKE THESE! You shall thank me later.

These tenders look absolutely delicious! I just have one problem. My husband doesnt
like any kind of sweetness in his meat! Ive made chicken before with brown sugar, I
loved it, he didnt does this chicken have a sweet taste to it? Any suggestions to not
have a sweet taste? (IF it helps we love spicy) Thanks!

Hi Luba, The sauce on this chicken is sooo yummy but it does have some
sweetness to it, you could try cutting down the brown sugar a little but I wouldnt
get rid of all of it, its pretty integral to the flavor of the dish!

I was into trying this until I read 4.Place coated chicken pieces on greased baking sheet
and spray heavily with cooking spray. Why would you coat them with chemicals? I may try
this recipe anyway, but I certainly wouldnt do that..sounds disgusting.

Hi Laurie! I should update that part of the recipe, its totally optional to coat the chicken
in oil it just helps to make them more crispy! But like I said, totally optional and these
would still be great without the added oil

Putting a little oil on them wouldnt gross me out.it was the cooking spray. Glad

healthy and organic sprays lately. I have yet to try Trader Joes coconut oil
spray, but it should have the same effect. Ive seen the homemade version of
cooking spray too, but I think that since its at least 3/4 water, for this recipe it
would make the chicken soggy and not crispy.

wouldnt be good since it was baked.. but it really was.. i think i will use this recipe even for
other sauces (like orange chicken).. tho this sauce was amazing too! one thing. i did not
spray my foil (I put foil down on the pan for easier clean up) enough and the chicken stuck a

They sell bottles of the actual stuff and its way better. We got it at Costco and it was
actually cheaper than when I found Franks. Its a bit sweeter than the stuff at the restaurant
but that could just be in the difference in how they make them. We bought a big bag of
chicken wings and a couple bottles of sauce at Costco and almost ate the whole HUGE bag
one night. We used to buy the bucket of wings from time to time (like once a year) and this
was WAY cheaper than getting that from Wingers. Our local Wingers closed too.

Do you really spray the chicken with cooking spray? Or use pour a little olive oil over it?
Thanks!

Hi Bethany, coating the chicken strips with some kind of oil helps to make them crispy.
You can use olive oil spray or brush them with oil with a pastry brush.

Thanks for this simple recipe! It turned out great! We just ate this with fries and used ranch
to dip in as suggested. It made a lotI cut up 3 Costco chicken breasts and had probably
12 fingers total, so we invited bro and sis in law for dinner too. I got an A+ from my
husband and we all loved it! Definitely will make this again!

I have made these several times since I have found the recipe. I made them for my kids
who are married and took them to them for dinner! Rave reviews. I double the sauce and
cut up green onions to sprinkle on. Really adds to them. I am not a big fan of Ranch
Dressing for dipping, too thick and strong so I mixed a packet of Ranch seasoning packet
with sour creamperfect and a little lighter. I have to say that I crave this chicken
sometimes.

Thank you! We made these tonight and are huge wingers fans and have been craving these
sticky fingers! The only adjustments I made was adding about 1/4 cup of good bbq sauce to
your sauce mixture to replicate their Rebel Sauce..holy that was amazing. We added a
tablespoon of corn starch to the sauce so it stuck well to the chicken. And as for cooking the
chicken, we plain ol` fried em in hot oil. Thank you thank you

Hi Katie! So glad you and your husband enjoyed these theyre a staple in my house! I
dont have any trouble with a grainy texture, the only thing I can think of is that you
might need to boil the sauce for an extra couple of minutes just to make sure that the
brown sugar really gets completely dissolved.

Hi Gina! Ooh. a hubby who doesnt eat hot sauce?! How do you live?!?! Haha. So for
this recipe its kind of tricky because the Franks hot sauce has a specific flavor and is
pretty important to getting the sauce just right. That being said, Id probably try a batch
of just the sauce and give it a taste see if its something your husband might like. If
its the heat that is too much for him, you could always lean to the sweeter side and
reduce the amount of Franks hot sauce.

So simple and delicious. The only thing I did different was halve the amount of sugar. The
sauce came out delicious and plenty sweet enough for me. I also let the sauce sit just a
little to thicken a bit. It was great served alongside homemade mashed potatoes. Will
definitely make again!

Hi Rabi, you can make the sauce a day or two ahead just cover and chill it then heat it
up in the microwave in a heat safe bowl or on the stove, then toss with the chicken just
before serving.

This recipe is so good. It is so sweet and just spicy enough. I could eat this all day. And
ranch makes it better. I am so glad I found this recipe. I am just a teenager attempting to
learn to cook before going away for college and this is really simple. It took me no longer
than twenty five minutes to make and most of the time was cooking the chicken. I would
totally recommend. The only thing was that I had to use a different brand of buffalo sauce
because the store my dad shops at does not have the the Franks one. Does this affect the
taste? I used TexasPete.

This recipe is awesome! The sweetness of the sauce goes SO good with ranch dressing. Its
definitely a hit here! I put down foil for easier clean up as well. I also originally heated the
sauce up to come to a boil in the microwave and it turned out really good. If you do it that
way though, you have to watch it once it gets hot, like every 10-30 seconds so it doesnt boil
over in microwave. But its totally optional, I was just lazy and didnt wanna clean a cooking
pot haha. As other commenters said, after it cooked the breading did wanna come off a bit
but I dont fault that on recipe or anything, I just suspect its the juice from chicken coming
out and it unsticks from chicken but it varies on my chicken pieces so its not that big of a
deal for me. Anyway, really good recipe! Weve made it here for the week and every night
its great! Two thumbs up

but with a bit of a kick? To save time, I might use chicken wings and then when I get the

This should be illegal, it was so off the chart good! So easy to make and when I saw the
wonderful reviews I knew I had to make it. I did this on a week night and I work, so I was
really on a time schedule. I got the whole dinner made from start to finish in an hour. I know
the recipe says 30 mins but I had to cut, clean and pound the breasts and that took a while.
Overall, it isnt difficult to make, my family loved it and so did I and this is a definite
repeater! I just had it for lunch the next day and it was still good, maybe not as crunchy but
tasted the same! I was a little skeptical about the franks and brown sugar as it is an odd
combo but it was amazing. Note: Make a double batch because it WILL get eaten.
