It is with pleasure that I strongly recommend Alex Merideth for employment as an educator at
your school. As Alexs employer for the past two years, I have watched him teach my students the
value of hard work and dedication through their study of music.

Mr. Merideth worked as the percussion instructor for my marching band for the past two years,
teaching both battery and front ensemble percussion. Mr. Merideth has also been actively involved
with my concert percussionists, frequently coaching them during their percussion class period. As
their instructor, he was responsible for running weekly sectional rehearsals, composing the marching
percussion music, assisting with full ensemble rehearsals, and chaperoning students during band
travel. His teaching has inspired my students to push themselves as musicians and empowered
them with the tools to do so. Alex has a unique ability to inspire those around him, and has given my
students a desire for constant improvement. This results in students who genuinely want to get
better and actively search for new ways to improve, which are readily available from Mr. Merideth
and the vast scope of his musical experience.

As a professional, I have the utmost respect for and trust in Mr. Merideth. He has always been a
team player and worked well with the other members of my staff, contributing his own ideas and
respecting the opinions of others. Mr. Merideth has been a strong positive role model, demonstrating
the values of character and dependability that we strive to instill in our students at Canyon del Oro.
Alex genuinely cares about the development of his students not just as musicians, but as young
adults. I have seen my students grow immensely under his mentorship, and attribute much of that
positive growth to the respect and care that he shows them.

Alex Merideth is an outstanding educator and teaching professional, and I would gladly continue to
hire him for many years at Canyon del Oro. I consider myself lucky to work with him, and I am sure
