story that you are too old, you are too fat, you
are too broke, you are too damaged, you are
too unloveable, heres what you need to know.
Claire and I are here for you. We are here to

to take you by the hand step by step into the
love relationship of your dreams.
If part of your story is all the good ones are

Thats absolutely not true, and heres why.

alive on the planet and half of them are single.
So statistically there are more than 1.4 million
possible soulmates for you. If you dont want to
believe that, believe what my grandma always
said. Grandma always said, Theres a lid for

In it she writes, Men and women need each
other, at least now as much as we ever did, but
for a deeper experience than more procreation or
protection. We need each other now to conceive
of the miraculous things of the spirit.
Marianne has written many books about A
Course in Miracles, including her acclaimed
masterpiece, A Return To Love. Were just
honored and delighted to welcome Marianne
Williamson to open with a love invocation.
Welcome, Marianne.
Marianne Williamson: Well, thank you so
much. Its an honor to be here at the beginning
of such a wonderful convocation. In A Course
in Miracles there is a line that says, An idea
is stronger when it is shared. You have two
things going on. First of all, the sharing, the
field that is created and by the time that you
will all be spending together thinking about the
same ideas, feeling the same feelings, thinking
the same kinds of thoughts. And also you
have a larger field, so that you have millions of
people who are thinking about this very subject
today.
So this makes it a pregnant ground. The very
fact that each and every one of us have come
for our own reasons, with our own history, with
all of these issues in the days to come, working
on the fact that many times its the barriers
that we have against loves coming have to do
with pain and trauma that weve had in our
past. We all know intellectually that you can be
bitter or you can be better, but sometimes it
takes more than an intellectual shift to actually
let go of the hurt and the layers of hurt and
mistrust and fear that we have when it comes
to letting love in.

So I think Arielle and Claire, all of the work
done here has a tender and a gentle approach
to looking at those places in our minds and in
our hearts where we know, we do not express
in the ways, really, that make it easiest for
someone to get close to us. The energy that
surrounds us sometimes does not make it that
easy for true love to get close to us.
I think the fact, if you are even here, its
because you know that you are ready. You
know that you are ready to let go of the walls
that surround your heart. You know that
you are ready to find that deep haven within
yourself. Whatever the love is. Whatever form
that that soulmate experience takes for you.
Whatever form that that intimacy takes for you.
I know that on some level everybody here is
aware that we are swimming in an ocean of
love. We are swimming in a universe that is
love, but at the same time we often feel like in
the poem, Water, water everywhere, but not a
sip to drink. We know that love is everywhere,
but we feel that we cannot make conscious
contact with it.
So I think the first thing we should do tonight is
take a moment to honor the process that has
brought us to this point. We take this moment
to think of every love experience that we have
had before this very moment, and we want to
think of all the people who have been in our
lives who we have thought of, for however
long period of time, whether it was a night
or a decade or 50 years, who we might have
thought in our lives, This is my safe haven,
and to remember that moment when we
thought that and to simply bless them and to
release them, and to release every relationship
that we have ever been in up to this point. To
remember that, in a very fundamental way, all
thats real, all that we retain if we choose to, is
the love that was given to us and the love that

I always thought that love would just happen
for me. If it was meant to be, it would happen. I
had just become friends with our mutual friend
Katherine Woodward Thomas at that time,
who teaches a wonderful program on Calling in
The One. We had just started teaching about
Feminine Power together.
We were having this conversation about inner
barriers to love, that I was struggling in this
areait might be because I have core beliefs
and I had different relationship patterns that
were in the wayand I was kind of shocked
because I had been doing a lot of work on
myself for a long time. I had, I think, desired to
have this extraordinary relationship in my life
since I was about seven years old.
I was like, Me? Barriers to love? Im this bright,
conscious, successful woman. I didnt have any
barriers for love. There are just no men out
there!
Arielle: No, of course not!
Claire: Theres no one who could possibly
be a match for me. I am meant to be alone!
I had this big story about why I couldnt have
love, and it didnt even occur to me for a
moment that there was something in my own
consciousness that was blocking it.
So I thought, Im going to set an intention. Im
going to set a very powerful intention to make
myself really available to receive love.
I didnt know if it was possible to have the love
that I was seeking, but I thought, I have the
good fortune of living in this age where we
have access to so much information. Im going
to reach out to all of the love and relationship
experts I know. Im going to apply everything
that I have discovered about Feminine Power to
my love life and see what happens.
It was a revelation. Immediately after I set that

intention, I began to have all kinds of insights
about where I had been getting stuck and
stopped and where I had been in this story
of being a strong, conscious, mission driven
woman and not being able to have love. I
began to see that that was totally a story, and
that underneath that I really doubted my own
value. I really felt like I had to do and give to be
worthy of receiving love, that who I was wasnt
enough.
I was always trying to figure out in my
relationships with men, or when I would meet
different men, who I needed to be to get love.
Through the process of this exploration, I
created some really strong transformational
tools in Feminine Power that Im going to share
with you during my seminar in the series. I
have actually never taught them before in this
particular form, and how specifically to apply
Feminine Power to the area of attracting love
in your life, but for me they had to do with
getting to the root of these old beliefs and
anchoring into a deeper truth using what we
call in Feminine Power, Power Statements
statements of a deeper truth that then you can
begin to show up in different ways that create
a different experience in your life.
So I created this Power Statement, My very
existence is more than enough to fulfill my
beloved beyond his wildest dreams. That
was in response to the old storywho I am is
not enough or not valuable, or not worthyit
was really amazing, Arielle. This one Power
StatementMy very existence is more than
enough to fulfill my beloved beyond his wildest
dreamsthe essence of it is I think the biggest
discovery I made. I dont need to be anyone
other than who I am authentically to attract my
soulmate, to attract the partner that Im meant
to be with.
Its not about trying to get love or to get

somebody to love you or to choose you. Its
about letting go of control. Its about stepping
forward and being visible and letting go, in
many ways, and trusting that the natural order
of showing up and being powerful in your own
authentic radiance. In fact, you want to really
be yourself to attract your most authentic
partner.
I also had a limited story about men. I believed
that men lacked capacity. I had always had this
experience of being more strong and powerful
and capabletake charge in any situation
and there was no room for me to receive help,
to receive support in that way of showing
up. Another Power Statement I created was
that, The men in my life are more powerful,
successful and capable than me in ways that
hold a space for me to rise and stand in the
fullness of my creative contribution. There
was an idea that I could be supported. These
were huge shifts in my own consciousness that
really impacted how I was standing and how I
was showing up in the world. An amazing thing
happenedimmediately I began to find myself
attracted to completely different men.
Arielle: Its funny how that happens, right?
Claire: Right! Its not what youre attracting
its who you are attracted tothat really began
to change and I began to access a very deep
and powerful intuition about how I needed to
show up, where I needed to go, what I needed
to do, and I began working with a visioning
process that we teach in our Feminine Power
course and I began to feel the presence of this
extraordinary man who was a partner to me in
all of these ways.
It felt very tangible, and through a series
of very powerful synchronicities I ended
up meeting my now husband Craig at a
conference in Germany. We both had these
premonitions of feeling each other coming.

When we got together we went away together
for our first weekend he started weeping. I was,
like, Why are you crying? He said, Because
you exist. Because you exist.
Arielle: Aww.
Claire: Because I have been dreaming about
you since I was 11, 12 years old and I just cant
believe you exist because youre the person I
have been looking for this entire time.
It was so moving to me because it was such
an out picturing of that Power Statement, of
that deeper truth about who I was and what
was possible for me. I really showed up in a
very different way. I had this premonition I
was going to meet Craig at this conference
and my old self would have been strategizing
and looking up his articles and being strangely
interested in all of the things he was interested
in to try to get him to want me, but I did none
of that.
I totally shifted that pattern. I showed up in
a new way, and through that he was able to
really see me. The relationship that we haveit
feels miraculous because its the fulfillment
of the deepest possibility for partnership, for
somebody who is a spiritual partner, for a best
friend, someone who holds a space for me
to grow, who challenges me, who I can really
support in many waysits a full partnership.
I cant even begin to tell you what it has meant
for my life to have created this relationship.
Through my relationship with Craig, my ability
to contribute, to participate, so expanded.
We created our company, Evolving Wisdom,
together. It has implicated over a million
people now. The outreach of the work that
weve done with Feminine Power, impacting
hundreds of thousands of women throughout
the world. None of that would have happened
without the expansion that came into my life

through having this partnership.
I really had such a life altering experience
around this. I really want to share with
everybody all of the tools that I personally
applied to create this breakthrough, especially
if, like me, you feel like you are a strong,
capable, mission driven women who has been
struggling in this area. I am standing for you
to have the same breakthrough and create
a foundation of love and partnership and
support, and it really is not true that you cant
follow your calling, be really successful and
powerful in your life and have great love. In
fact, having a great love supports you to do
that in even more empowered ways.
Arielle: I just love your story. Every time I hear
it, it just makes me smile. Seeing you and Craig
together, its so obvious what a perfect, perfect
match that you are. Just sort of piggybacking
on what you just said about how being a
successful woman doesnt block you from
having love, well, that is absolutely the truth,
even though there are so many successful
women out there who dont understand that.

that does get in the way is because so many
women are locked into the masculine way of

Claire: Yeah, and we dont know how to
be in the feminine and not lose our power.

Arielle: Oh, I know!
Claire: Didnt you celebrate 16 years?
Arielle: We have been married 16 years now. I
am constantly amazed at how it keeps getting
better and better and better, and he gets more
and more interesting to me.
Let me just take two minutes here and I will
share my story.
Claire: Share your story. I love your story!
Arielle: For the people who know me, they
know that I am very much a bottom line
person. I speak my mind. I am not, whats that
word, really good at sugar coating things?
Claire: Mincing words.
Arielle: Yeah. Im not a diplomat. I just call
things as I see it. This communication style
worked really well in my career and building
my business, but unfortunately its not a quality
most men find endearing or attractive. So Im
going to share a really embarrassing story.
One night when I was in my 30s I was out on a
date with a man who during the date he was
pretty superficial and obnoxious, but he said
something to me that changed my life. He
said to me, and Im just going to quote here,
he said, You know, Arielle, you are one tough,
powerful woman, and I bet you scare the shit
out of most men.
Then this guy tried to kiss me goodnight, but
I actually dodged him and I got out of the car,
but his words just totally haunted me. It was
like a negative feedback loop that kept playing
over and over again in my head. I kept hearing
him say, You know, Arielle, you are one tough,
powerful woman, and I bet you scare the shit
out of most men.

Really, up until that moment, I had never
really thought of myself as either tough or
powerful, but I kept thinking, Well, what if he
is right? What is this is how I am showing up?
I was pretty humiliated by the whole ting and
I confessed it to my good friend Marianne
Williamson, who we just heard from. Marianne
said to me, Okay, youre coming with me
Tuesday night.
I said, What do you mean? Where are we
going?
on a dress. I know, it sounds kind of silly, but
it absolutely taught me how to shift into and
embrace my feminine side.
Later on I will be talking about my workshop
and what Im going to be sharing with
everybody later on, but learning this from Dr.
Pat Allen, who is one of the experts in this
series, and coupling that with all of the law
of attraction manifestation techniques that I
learned and used to create my business, I then
used it on my love life.

She said, Were going to Westwood. We were
both living in L.A. She said, Youre going to
listen to my friend Dr. Pat Allen, because Dr.
Pat Allen is a psychologist and she teaches
women the dating rules that, if you follow
them, will lead to marriage.
So that was the promise I needed to hear,
and Marianne and I went to Westwood and
we listened to her amazing insights about
masculine and feminine energy. It turned out
that while my very practical and assertive and
result-oriented approach to my career was
great for success, because I was accessing
my masculine power, it really suppressed my
feminine energies, which I actually needed if I
wanted to be in a relationship with a masculine
man.
So I became a devotee of Dr. Pat and her
Tuesdays night. This became my newfound
religion and I went over and over and over
again, and I realized that during the day, when
I was running my business, I could be in my
masculine mode or in my work mode, but if
I was going to go out on a date I needed to
shift into a feminine mode. That was kind of
awkward for me. I didnt really know what to
do, but I took up belly dancing. I would create
these routines. So before I would go out on
a date I would belly dance for a while. Then I
would take a bubble bath. Then I would put

guy, Brian, and three weeks later we got
engaged and a year later we had three
weddings. Just as you said, not only was
manifesting somebody beyond my wildest
dreams possiblethe thing that I have learned
is that when you are with your soulmate theres
a level of healing that occurs that just cant
occur in therapy. Plus, having that kind of level
of support increased my success in my career
on levels I never dreamed of. It has just been
amazing. I know that if I could do it, because it
wasnt predictable that I was going to do this,
anyone can do this.

ages, different stages in life. There are different
challenges that people have, and we have
identified four key areas or four key obstacles
to being able to create love. I had two of them
really intenselythe core beliefs and being out
of synch with the opposite sex.
Arielle: Yeah, I had that one too.
Claire: But they werent necessarily where I
thought the obstacles were. There are lots of
different approaches out there and which one
is going to work best for you really depends on
where your challenges are. It isnt always clear
where you are going to find it.
If you have tried different things to create love
in the past, dont be discouraged. Chances
are the reason that you are getting stopped is
because you have an obstacle in one of these
areas that you havent yet addressed. You
might think that you have to shift core belief
issues when actually, the reason why no one
is writing to you is that your online profile isnt
a really clear descriptor. You might be doing
things great online, but it might be core beliefs
that are having you get stopped.
So what we have done in this series is create,
really, a comprehensive series of seminars to
take you through these four areas so that you
can be sure that theres nothing in the way of
you receiving the love that you are seeking,
that you have clarity and that you have the
tools to be able to move forward and create
this kind of love in your life as well.
Before we share about the actual seminars
themselves, we want to tell you about the four
key obstacles that we have observed in people
who are having challenges creating the love
that theyre seeking.
The first obstacle to love is having an
attachment to someone in your past. Actually,
this was one obstacle of mine too. I didnt

mention that, but I definitely had some
attachment from my past that I hadnt worked
through. Many of us have done processes and
rituals. We have cut cords. I certainly did all of
those things, but we havent been able to let
that person go and we still have some story,
like, were never going to have love like we had
with that person in the past.
Arielle: Or they are going to come back to us
someday.
Claire: Yeah. So thats an obstacle. If you have
that, thats definitely an obstacle, and you
might not realize you have it. So you are going
to discover how to release and let go once and
for all the energetic attachments to the past
that are holding you back in these seminars.
The second obstacle to love is having a
limiting belief. This was probably the biggest
one for me. Having a limiting belief about
men, having a limiting belief about women,
about relationships being a trap. My whole
storyyou cant follow your calling and have
a great relationshiphuge, limiting belief, big
barrier to possibility. They could be a belief
about yourself or your worthiness for having
love, or it could be a story about, Im so busy
launching my business that there is no time for
me to have love, or Im a single parent raising
a child. I dont have time to have love.
We need to identify these limiting beliefs and
stories and let them go. The truth is, there is no
external reason why you dont deserve, or cant
have, an extraordinary love. I have worked
with women who had really big obstacles, real
challenges in their life, from having disabilities
to being hundreds of pounds overweight
to being in the midst of very challenging
circumstances, taking care of aging parents.
Theres really no reason outside of you that
you cant have a great love.

In this series youre going to discover what your
limiting beliefs are, how to release them so that
theres nothing in the way of you being able to
receive the love that you are seeking.
As Arielle was sharing, you might be out of
synch with the opposite sex, or whatever sex
you are attracted to, right? The same thing
works if you are in a same sex relationship
really understanding the dynamics between
gender and how that shows up is really the
third obstacle to being able to create the love
that you have been seeking. Its especially true
if you are a conscious, successful, mission
driven woman. Its very difficult to embrace the
feminine, to be open, to be transparent, to be
vulnerable, without losing your power. It feels
like its difficult. Its actually not that difficult
if you know how to do it. Its so important to
be able to make the shift to attract the kind of
partner that you would find fulfilling, the kind
of man that you would be attractive to.
Its not that when were in our masculine that
we dont attract men. We usually attract men
who feel less powerful than us and we feel like
we are in the mother position in relationship
and we are over giving and we are overdoing.
Were going to share with you the tools to
break up that pattern and be powerful and be
vulnerable and be open and be transparent
in a way that you can attract and create the
intimacy that you desire without dimming
down in any way. I especially cant wait to talk
about that in this series.
The final and fourth obstacle is the dating
process itself. No matter how much inner work
you do there are just some practical skills that
you need to know to understand dating in the
21st century. So I hadnt dated in years, right?
I had actually given up on the possibility of
having love. I worked with women, right? So
where was I ever going to meet men? There

are some things that are important to know in
the dating process, right? How to connect with
people. How to navigate that awkwardness of
the first date. When do you decide whether
or not this is somebody you want to invest in

stages of dating. One of our experts for that
is Dr. John Gray. Most of you know him as one
of the biggest bestsellers of all time. I think he

specifically on how to navigate what he calls,
The 5 Stages of Dating.
He also is going to be sharing how to create a
lasting, loving relationship with your soulmate.
He talks about, in these stages, that in stage
one we have the initial attraction. Men and
women have this in different ways. So we need
to be able to know how to attract each other in
a way thats going to create interest.
Then he says stage two is what he calls,
Uncertainty. He will be talking about the
biggest mistake most people make when
theres an uncertainty period.
Then he is going to be talking about stage three
and the worse thing we can do in that section,
which is when we get to exclusivity. He is going
to tell us how to have the conversation with
your potential life partner about, are we going
to be exclusive? How to do that and then what
not to do.
Then finally, in stage four, he talks about
intimacy. He shares that you cant really begin
to fully open up and share your innermost
feelings until this stage. He is going to give us
all of that. He is absolutely brilliant, but beyond
that he is really, really funny. Youre not going

because I was always pointing the finger
thinking the problem was over there, was I
would drag them into therapy and I would
say, Whats the matter with you? Why cant
you see Im the right one for you? Of course,
I later found out, and Ill out myself again,
my problem was that I was a commitment-
phobe. I was constantly attracting men with
commitment issues thinking they were the
problem. I was the one with the issue, but we
dont have five hours for that whole story.
Claire: The great news is, what Ive seen is
you dont have to become a master of each of
these areas to succeed. Just listening to this
information is going to be enough to cause a
shift in your own consciousness.
We dont understand a lot of how these things
are working inside of us, and just making
it conscious and beginning to show up in
different ways, we can create very, very quickly.
Arielle: Yeah. Thats so true. The thing I always
tell people is you dont have to be perfect to
manifest a soulmate at all, on any level. Just a
few little shifts, a few little ah-ha moments, a
few little different ways you are doing dating,
