INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING OF PPA 2011, PP
(AMENDMENT) ACT 2016 AND ITS REGULATIONS AND PMIS
The Authority is organizing a series of three (3) days intensive training program for staff from
all procuring entities. The training program has been designed to equip participants with
requisite knowledge of PPA 2011 and PP (amendment) Act 2016 and its regulations and
Procurement Management Information System (PMIS).
The participation fee for each training is TShs. 550,000.00 to cover the cost of training
materials, certificate of attendance, facilitation, lunch and refreshments during the sessions.
Each certificate will bear CPD hours. Confirmation will be through remittance of a fee to
PPRA, Account No. 20110006721 - NMB Bank, Bank House - Dar es Salaam and PPRA,
Account No. 01J1043009600- CRDB Bank, Tower Branch Dar es Salaam and submission of
payment evidence.

Status of call-of order under Public Procurement (Amendment) Act, 2016

Recently I was attending a work-
shop conducted by PPRA in
Dodoma whereby one of the par-
ticipants wanted to know the
application of call-off order
under the situation whereby
GPSA is no longer issuing unit
price for common use items and
services. Apart from answers pro-
vided by the facilitator and the
comments I made on the ques-
tion raised, still there is a gap in
knowledge among the public
procurement practitioners which
may lead to double standard in
handling procurement of CUIS
using framework agreements
arranged by GPSA.
This article is meant to bridge this
gap. Consequently, through this
article procurement practitioners
may share their experiences
regarding application of call-off
order and eventually expert inter-
vention by the relevant authorities
can be made to guide procure-
ment practitioners on the proper
way of handling procurement of
CUIS using framework agree-
ments.
