RABINDRANATH TAGORE...
Rabindrantah Tagore is the greatest Indian poet. He was born in
May 6, 1861 at Jorasanka in Kolkata. His parents were Maharsi
Debendranath Tagore and Sarada Devi.He began writing poems at a
very early age.
Tagore is famous for the thousands of poems,
songs,dramas,fiction,short stories, essays and articles he has
written. He was the first Indian to recieve the Nobel Prize for his
poetic creation " Gitanjali" in 1913.
Tagore was also a painter, a philosoper and a great patroit. He is
the composer of our National Anthem, "Jana Gana Mana"

of India.
He completed graduation from prestigious Calcutta University. In 1858, he
joined the British Government and served the position of Deputy Collector and
Deputy Magistrate.
He wrote poems, novels and essays. His poetic work Lolita is a masterpiece.
He wrote many novels suchas Bisha Briksha, Krishnakanter Will,
Rajsingha, Kapalkundala, Devi Chaudhurani, Anand Math.

Subhas Chandra Bose


Subhas Chandra Bose was a most famous legendary figure
and brave freedom fighter He was a real brave hero of the
India who had left his home and comfort forever for his
motherland.
He was born in Cuttack, Orissa on 23rd of January in 1897
His father was Janaki Nath Bose and mother was
Prabhabati Devi. He brilliantly qualified I.C.S Examination
but gave up and joined Non-Co-operation Movement in
1921 to fight for freedom of India.
He worked with the Chittaranjan Das, a political leader of
Bengal, an educator and journalist. He went to jail several
times for his nationalistic activities however he never gets
tired and hopeless. He was elected as President of
Congress but once he was opposed by Gandhiji because of
some political differences with Gandhiji. He moved to East
Asia where he prepared his own Azad Hind Fauj (means
the Indian National Army) to make India an independent
country.
