EVENT DESCRIPTION: One mans junk is another mans treasure.

Limited time, limited resources and an opportunity to turn your ideas

into reality. Junkyard Wars is an event which makes blend of your
creativity, engineering concepts and skills to create working models
using junk. In India it can be described as a complete Jugaad from
Kabaad.So gear up with your jugaad and design skills and get ready
for this ultimate challenge.

ABSTRACT:
The goal of this competition is to construct a three wheeler
vehicle which is driven by Human Power. To account for track and
engine vibration, the vehicle may be fitted with suspension
system.
Vehicle should be mounted with any Firing Mechanism i.e.
Slingshot, Catapult, Crossbow, etc. having mobility of rotation
about Horizontal and Vertical Axis and should be able to hit the
given target.

Design Constraints

The vehicle should accommodate one driver.

The vehicle must have two wheel on front and single wheel at the
back of the vehicle.

No part of drivers body should lie outside the main frame or

chassis.

The fabrication of chassis is must and should be made with the

help of L-Angles.

The design of the chassis should be like that if Tricycle rolls then
the safety of driver should not be compromised.

Design Specifications

Clearly explain the idea and the working of your three-wheeler.

Demonstrate the special features of your design, features that, in
your opinion, are especially clever, effective and innovative.

Also mention the dimensions of primary elements of the vehicle.

Point out the deployment of the materials clearly. The feasibility

of material should be taken into account.

All the constraints like Design, Presentation, Performance and

Task completion will be taken into account at the time of
evaluation.

Submission:

You may present a drawing that illustrates your design clearly.

The drawing can consist of only isometric views. You may draw
orthographic views if needed. Your drawing should be well
labelled.

You can also submit online, a CAD file or a scanned copy of your
drawing. Also give us the relevant details of your model.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Each team should consist of maximum 7 members only.
All the team members must be present during the finals.
All teams are expected to have a prior knowledge on the use of
cutting and drilling devices that includes hacksaws, chisel, drilling
kit etc.
Teams are restricted to use any material apart from the available
junk they are allotted without permission of the Event
Coordinator.
Teams must be able to explain the working mechanism involved in
their model to the judges at the end.
Participants must comply with the rules of the Work area where
the model will be built.
Junkyard Wars is not responsible for any loss of property, injury
and delays caused by participants during the event.
The Judges and the Event Coordinators have the right to
disqualify the teams in case of any misconduct.
