As of end 2015, 4,915 hectares of our Sarawak plantations are being developed under the programme, which pays out a steady stream of sustainable income to 3,610 indigenous land owners. We have also instituted a land lease programme involving lands belonging to ratives, which we develop into ol palm plantations. The land lease benefits a further 794 land owners. Additionally, in line with the government's move to further the Bumiputera Agenda, we especially encourage the participation of Bumiputera contractors and vendors in the VDI.
