I worked with IHRDC (First phase) and now with TriStar (second phase) in Training Project
Tailored for Al Furat Petroleum Company in Syria to train national (existing and new)

Job: Production and Mechanical Advisor

My role arc as follows

• Develop technical training modules in line with competency equipments and in


conjunction with the Training Instructors.
• Develop a Trainee task / assessment book.
• Develop on the job Training plans for the Trainees.
• Monitor progress against plan.
• Monitor on the job Training carried out under the guidance of the Training Instructors
in the field and in the Training Center.
• Work with the On the Job Training Instructors and Trainees to ensure personal
competency is attained and the competency books are completed.
• Ensure that the required standards are maintained.
• Continuously improve the content of the training modules in line with field
developments and experience gained.
• Provide monthly reports on the individual trainee’s progress as a measure of
performance against plan.

NOTE: During the above mention period, I shared as an Instructor in Basic Oil Studies
program for two times.

From Sep. 1995 till Nov.1997


I shared as an instructor with a composite team in a long term technical program for the
process operators conducted from 15/9/1995 to 15/5/1996 and from 15/9/1996 to 15/5/1997 at
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Training Center in Kuwait.

From April 1980 to Nov. 1995:


POST: Sector Manager of Equipment Design and operation follow-up.

I worked in the following activities:

• Set – Up design basic of the process units (material and heat balance).
• Design of mass transfer equipment such as towers, separators, etc.
• Design of heat transfer equipment such as heat exchangers, coolers, fired heaters, etc.
• Design of fluid mover's equipment such as pumps and compressors.
• Draw and review of
- Process flow diagram (PFD)
- Piping and instrumentation diagram (PID’s)
• Technical and economical evaluation of new projects.
• Revamp the existing process units.
• Feasibility studies of the new projects and revamped process units.
• Set-up and review of tender documents.
• Evaluation of contractor’s Bids.
• Follow-up construction phase of new projects.
• Share with commissioning team to commission the new projects.
• Follow – up the performance test runs for the new and revamped process units.
• Study operation troubleshooting and report the recommended advice.
• Train the appointed engineers.
• Write technical reports.
During the Period from 1986 to 1989, I’ve worked on loan basis
for the following Gas Processing Companies:
From May 1986 To Mar. 1987:

I worked with PELAYM PETROLEUM CO. (PETROBEI) on loan basis. My post was
a gas plant superintendent. My duties were responsible for gas plant:
- Operation
- Maintenance
- Quality Control (Lab)
- Managerial

From May 1987 To Sep. 1988:

I worked with SUEZ OIL CO. (SUCO) on loan basis in the gas planet. My post was
processing superintendent and my duties were:
- Follow-up construction
- Share with commissioning team to commission the gas plant.
- Head of start-up team.
- Head of operation team.
- Train the appointed operators.

From Oct. 1988 To Nov. 1989:

I worked with BADR EL DIN PETROLEUM CO. (BAPETCO) on loan basis in the gas
plant project (BED-3) My duties were:

Revise and approve PFDS and PID’s for the new gas plant project.
Recruit well qualified staff (operators, technicians and engineers) to operate and maintain the
new gas plant.
- Set-up training Programs for the appointed staff.
- Write technical Reports about the project progress.

From Feb. 1977 To April 1980:


I Worked As Senior Process Engineer In Reformer Complex {Catalytic Reformer, Naphtha
HDT, Middle Distillate HDT, VRU and Isomerization unit}.
My duties during that period were:

- Supervise and advise process variables and trouble – shooting for the process units.
- Prepare and follow – up process units start – ups and shut – downs.
- Equipment rating and advise the required modifications for the rated equipment.
- Follow up safety rules and instructions process units' safety.
From Dec. 1975 To Feb. 1977:
I worked as junior process engineer in Atmospheric distillation units (Four Atmospheric
Distillation units, Three vapor Recovery units and Re. Run Unit).

Utilities (water treatment unit, steam boilers and wastewater Treatment unit).

My duties during that period were:

- Share with other process engineers to operate process units safely.


- Follow-up process units for start-up and shut-down.
- Advice process variables and trouble-shooting for the process units.

From Oct. 1973 To Dec. 1975:
