Primary Responsibilities Operational:-?
Design and Implement safety procedures for the plant, as per EHS guideli
nes and draft the safety manual defining all functional operations and procedure
s to ensure adherence with all statutory compliances

Develop action plans to ensure plant safety and security by analyzing an
d prioritizing site-level processes for hazards
?
Understand plant layout and safety installations for the plant during pr
e-commissioning stage and effect changes as required to facilitate safe go-live
of the plant and subsequent Operations and Maintenance
?
Ensure availability and use of stipulated safety equipment and protectiv
e gear for all site personnel; raise purchase indents for the same, as required
?
Ensure periodic maintenance and review of fire and safety equipment for
the plant
?
Develop action plans to ensure site safety and security by analyzing and
prioritizing plant-level processes for hazards, in discussion with designated p
rocess/package owners (from Raw Material through to Evacuation)
?
Organize and conduct training programs on relevant SHE regulations and p
olicies for all site employees including new hires, contractors; Conduct practic
al demonstrations on the usage of safety equipment
?
Implement site-safety programs like emergency preparedness, fire safety
drills and industrial hygiene and promote a zero accident work environment via p
roactive programs and interventions
?
Work closely with all Internal Departments to conduct mandatory safety c
ommittee meetings on a regular basis
?
Review and ensure timely preparation of inspection reports as per approv
ed inspection and test plans

Ensure adherence to Plant Safety and Security budgets
People

Oversee conduct of site safety training for the team on a regular basis
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from ti
me to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably r
epresented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent and
competent authority
