My full name is Do Thi Huyen, an undergraduate from Thanh Do University with the
degree of bachelor in Accountancy. Currently I have more than four years of
professional accounting experience, including two years with online marketing firm and
two years with an online sales store. During this time, I was able to realize my passion
for business and the need of further education in economy and corporate management.
My family and my university professors were very supportive of my decision. Thus, I
have decided to continue my studies in international business to pursue a master
degree in business administration (MBA).
Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) was referred to me by
Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh, the vice president of Dai Nam University in Hanoi, Viet Nam, and
Ms. Nguyen Huyen Trang, a former STUSTalumni. Further research about STUST
shown many positive reviews of high quality facilities on campus, devoted teachers and
most importantly prestige educational quality. Additionally, Taiwan as a country is well
known for its strict education standards, safe living conditions, beautiful landscapes and
the fast developing economy of SE Asia. It would be an honor to have an opportunity of
pursing my further education at STUST.
My study plan is to improve my overall understanding of business administration and
management. Specifically, I really want to learn more about strategy marketing, human
resource management, domestic/ foreign market analysis and procedures of business
negotiation. The study of English language is one of my present imports. I have TOEIC
examination score of 600 and presently continuing to pursue higher score with private
tutoring classes. My ability to communicate in English is becoming much more
advanced as I spend daily in education centers studying. In my understanding it is
crucial to work with classmates, present in clear tone and share my ideas. I believe
within 2 years of studying at STUST it would provide me with many great life
opportunities, like exploring different life ethics, making new friends and ability to
communicate in Chinese language with local people. It is my belief that through learning
new languages I will be able to discover a new culture and learn much about it.

After finishing my Master degree at STUST, I plan to come back my home in Viet Nam
and put my new learned knowledge into practice. Viet Nam is now in a blooming
economy stage, so I believe that there will be many great opportunities for me to finally
make my dream come true and open my own company. It will reflect my challenging
time in educational period of my life and give me the privilege to share every step of
success with my family and my dear teacher, who always stood beside me with support
when I lost direction.
Independence, creativity, active lifestyle and patience is a big part of my personality.
Therefore, I can easily adapt within new environments where I can study new ideas day
by day. I hope that I am eligible for a scholarship of STUST. With this scholarship,
STUST would give me not only the opportunity to study, but also chance to have
experiences in another country and excel my life to new heights.
