RE: Mangan Park - Soil Sample Results
Tuesday, April 12, 2016 12:52:17 PM
If you want surface samples analyzed that is different from soil and I will hire Entek. I would
recommend Entek for any interior sampling (e.g. nearby homes). Entek is the gold standard in the
industry. Of course, there is no scientific reason for doing any of this sampling based on the initial
clean results but whatever you need.
Rob, Lets coordinate on scheduling the sampling. Also you mentioned a statistical sampling grid so
there will be no question on the validity of the assessment.

I just left a meeting with the City Manager. The cost is not an issue at this point. We need the cover
letter explaining the test results from the 8 samples ASAP today please.
Then we need the other 4 samples analyzed with a cover letter explaining the results, also as soon as
possible.
Then we will need more test samples of the following areas, again with a cover letter and the test
results as soon as possible:
1. Playground
2. Further out in the archery range
3. Pool deck
4. Pool water
5. Concrete walkway in front of the range building
6. The roof area, and please note if there is any lead dust visible on the roof.
We understand we will need to amend your contract to cover these additional costs, and that there
may be additional charges for expediting this work. Please accept this e-mail as authorization for
you to proceed with the work with the contract amendment to follow.

Rob,
Did you find out what a 24 hr TAT cost for the remaining samples?
Sounds good.looks like the cost is $30 per sample (at least thats what they charged us..but that
was for a 7 day TAT..Ill find out what a 24-hr TAT is).
Thanks.
Rob, Let's talk tomorrow before you send it. May want to run the rest of the samples in case
there are questions and it's a nominal cost.

Who should I address the transmittal letter to? You or Sheryl?
Please find attached the analytical results (printed on a site map) with approximate
sample locations on the map.
A total of 12 samples were collected with 8 samples analyzed for total lead using EPA
method SW6020. The samples were collected by Stratus Environmental on 04/01/16.
