or Oyez or Avalon, or Findlaw etc. We recommend using Justicia.
Course Abstract / Outlines
This course looks at three arenas of constitutional rights:
Civil Rights and Liberties (ch.6)
Procedural Due Process (ch.7)
Equal Protection (ch.9)
Fundamental Rights (ch.10)
1st Amendment (ch.11-12)
Other Matters
1. Class attendance and participation is very important. We will use one or more of the
following methods for routinized participation accounting.
a. Use grade rosters to call upon students to report basic case facts, findings,
implications, etc.
b. Use volunteers to report the case brief.
2. The easiest way to contact me is via email at s-seitz@illinois.edu.
3. Grading for the course will involve the full plus/minus system. Each of three quizzes
counts 30% of the grade, respectively, or 90% of total. Your class attendance and
participation will count 10%.
