1.6.0.0 ANALISYS & DESIGN CRITERIA :

1.6.1.0 ANALISYS:
The superstructure consists of one way spanning precast TT- slab & HC-slab recessed into precast
L- beams. Beams are simply resting on columns corbel with 32mm bar to transfer shear force.
Steel plate @ top of beam and column used as tie connection, Cast in place screed acts as a
diaphragm that connect the superstructure.
To obtain the horizontal force effect, slab diaphragm has been considered in analysis by modeling

slab element on the roof of thickness 100mm.

The lateral loads in structure are resisted in direction -X by shear walls.

Connections:
Beams are simply supported on top of column or corbel thus:
32mm is exposed from columns corbel to transfer horizontal shear force and steel plate @ top
of beam and column used as tie connection, (see detail below)
Additional reinforcement in top of column is added for column bearing as follows:
Provide 10mm columns ties at 100mm, for x = 500mm, from top & bottom.
Provide (4x4) (16 U Shape in both directions).

1.6.2.0 DESIGN CRITERIA :

a Frame :
Analysis and design is carried out by using STAAD Pro software to get support, reaction & design
of columns.

Basis of Design:
1. Design the precast concrete structure its components and connection in accordance with

American Standards (ACI318M-05).

2. Design the precast concrete structure as a stable structure able to withstand all temporary
permanent, vertical and lateral loading.
3. Design column bases as fixed.

Pre-stressed & Pre-cast Elements:

1. Pre-cast columns are designed from STAAD Pro software.
2. Design of beams & TT-slab is carried out by using PRESTO V.8.2a software.
3. Design of HC-slab is carried out by using Concise Beam V.4.56d software.
