Dixon was Hon Secretary CHC from 1960-2016 (56 Years of Service)

Cli_onville Senior Player for 37 Years winning 2 Irish Cups (1974-75 &
1975-76), 6 Senior League Titles (1966-67, 1967-68, 1970-71, 1972-73,
1973-74 & 1975-76), 2 Kirk Cups (1967-68 & 1968-69).

Dixon played his last game in 1984 when he was 50 years and was the
President of the Irish Cricket Union at that ?me

Also played Senior Cricket for Instonians CC Batsman making his debut in 1947 at 13
years old! Captain of 1964 NCU Cup winning side

at Comber as a hard tackling defender! Nowadays with many more xtures,


this would equate to 100 plus Caps and he was "12th Man" on many
occasions! Picture below is his 3rd Cap against Holland.

Dixon was also Ireland Interna?onal Captain and an Ulster Player and Ulster
Captain winning 105 Ulster Caps

A renowned Wicket Keeper and Club Chairman of
Instonians CC he played for the NCU Presidents XI and
Ulster Town. A Member of 1964 NCU Cup winning side,
he would have surely been recognised with Irish
Representa?ve Honours except for the brilliance of Ossie
Colhoun at that ?me (who earned 87 Caps)
