TASK 2
Using Cooperative Learning in your Unit Plan.
Once you have clear ideas about your topic it is time to think how are you
going to teach it and work with your students. Complete the following chart
to introduce Cooperative Learning.
You are going to describe how are you going to organize your students in the
class: pairs, groups of three or four, whole group,
And then you have to choose two cooperative learning techniques you will
introduce into your unit and tell us how you are going to work with them:
what task are you going to use using them.

Class Organization:
The students are organized in groups of four persons and
every pupil has a different level of knowledge.
Cooperative Learning Technique 1: MAKE AN EXPERIMENT.
This kind of cooperative activity you are working
Structures for a Student Centered Discussion and
Jigsaw, the expert.
In groups of four, the students do an experiment, they
learn the different body parts of a fish. First, they need to
do hypothesis. After, they make a picture about the
experiment. Finally, each member of the group presents
the kind of fish to the other group and explains what they
have known with the experiment. After that, they do a
discussion about the fish experiment and observe the
differences between the different kind of fishes.
Cooperative Learning Technique 2: RoundRobin
Each group needs to answer a question about aquatic life.
The students have a short time to think about the
question and finally they need to do a presentation in
class to answer the question. All the students need to
take notes in a piece of paper.
After the answer, individually pupils need to do a test
about aquatic life.
