Introduction
We are also planning for the relocation of the Human Resources (HR) Office.
We have prepared for the electrical and architectural plans of the said office.
Experience Earned
As a Civil Engineering Technology student there are many things that you can
learn in school that you can apply in job, Like in Plumbing in school we learn the
process or the proper way of installing pipe, The size, kind and location of pipe
wherever it needs to install and the ways how it can be very useful and preserve its
good quality. In Electrical we also consider the size or the thickness of wire that we
may use in line or circuit, the value of Ampere of Breaker and the proper way of
splicing or connecting the wires. In Concrete and Masonry the kind of cement
mixture that we use in column, beam, slab, mortar, and plastering, The size of
Concrete Hollow Blocks (CHB) use for example, 4 CHB use in partition wall and
non-load bearing wall or walls that caries only its own weight, 5 and 6 CHB use in
firewall and load bearing walls or walls that caries weight like beam and slab, The
dimension of beam and column, the diameter of Reinforcement Steel Bars (RSB)
use and measurements or spacing for wall and slab. You can learn those things in
school and you can apply in job but there also knowledge that you can learn while
undergoing Supervised Industrial Training (SIT) like in things and materials you can
only see at construction site, also the terms that they used in actual work, which I am
not so familiar. One of the most important thing that I learn is talent alone is not
enough, it must come with hard work and self-discipline in order to success.
