After five meetings the Union and the Town have reached a tentative agreement on a new four-year
contract expiring December 31, 2020. Following is a summary of the Terms and conditions that the
Union and the Town agreed to. A meeting is being called for Thursday, November 10th beginning at
3:30pm to take place at the Town Hall meeting room. At this time the changes will be reviewed along
with an opportunity to ask questions, then by secret ballot the members will vote. The Unions
bargaining committee consisting of Pat Herman, Mike Catalano, Sam Correard, and Roland Osterwinter
recommend ratification of the contract.
Duration of Contract Four years
Article 5.2 Permanent Transfers between Job Classifications:
Change trial period for a minimum of 30 days to 12 weeks.
Wages Increases
Section 6.2 - Wage Increase:
Effective January 1st of each year covered by the contract, employees in step 1 through 7 and employees
on step 8 and above will have their wages and salary rates increased by:
Employees in step will still get their 1.5% step increase on April 1st or September 1st of each year.
Article VII - Health and Welfare
Section 7.1 - Finger Lakes Municipal Health Insurance Trust Plans Medical:
1. All full time employees are eligible to participate in the Finger Lakes Municipal Health insurance
Trust Core, Mid, or High Deductible ($3,000/$6000) health care plans.
For employees whose full time employment with the Town of Henrietta was effective prior to June 1,
2003:
a. Effective January 1, 2017, the Town will pay 92% of the cost of single, two-person, or family
coverage.
b. Effective January 1, 2018, the Town will pay 91% of the cost of single, two-person, or family
coverage.
c. Effective January 1, 2019, the Town will pay 90% of the cost of single, two-person, or family
coverage.
d. Effective January 1, 2020, the Town will pay 90% of the cost of single, two-person, or family
coverage.
Overall monthly contributions will be increasing from 7.5% currently to 10% over the 4 years:

Employees full time employment with the Town was effective June 1, 2003 or later will pay 15%
of the cost of the monthly premium during the their term of employment.
Overall, no changes for the duration of the contract to their current percentage contribution.
3. New Hires: All employees hired after January 1, 2017 are only eligible to participate in the
Finger Lakes Municipal Health Insurance High Deductible (3,000/6000) health plan and will pay
the following:
a. 2017 - 15% monthly toward their health insurance
b. 2018 - 16% monthly toward their health insurance
c. 2019 - 17% monthly toward their health insurance
d. 2020 - 20% monthly toward their health insurance

To Summarize, the Town has agreed to increase the fixed HRA contribution by $150 for each type of
plan.
For those employees who have an HRA with a balance, but are moving to the HDHP, the Town will
establish a limited purpose Health Reimbursement Account (LPHRA) and transfer any remaining balance
in the employees HRA to the LPHRA.
Section 7.6 - Health Savings Account:
Effective January 1, 2017, and thereafter annually, the Town will contribute the following amounts to
the employees HSA account:
