Student Performance Objectives (SPO): (National # ; MA CF # ; Task/Activity# )
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
(P) Demonstrate correct underhand throwing form at least 5 times by the end of the lesson by following the skill
cues and aiming towards a target (SHAPE: S1.E13.3, MACF: 2.2; Task/Activity: 2, 3).
(C) Identify the difference between throwing (underhand) to a target that is close versus a target that is farther
away by answering correctly when asked by the teacher at least once by the end of the lesson (SHAPE:
S2.E3.3, MACF: 2.1; Task: Closure).
(A) Demonstrate responsible and respectful behavior towards self, teacher, and other students by following
directions, listening to instructions, and using equipment safely throughout the entire lesson (SHAPE: S4.E5.3,
MACF: 2.7, Task: All)
Check each objective is it specific? Is it achievable? Is it developmentally appropriate?
Teacher Performance Objectives During the lesson the teacher will:
1. Provide clear, concise instructions without spending a significant amount of time on the instructions.
2. Hold students accountable to behavioral expectations by enforcing rules throughout the entire lesson.
Special Considerations What are the safety concerns? What is unique about the students in this
class?
1. Students are young and have very different skill levels, so some students may need extensions to certain
activities while others need modifications.
2. Some students have behavioral issues and/or are ELL students, so they may require necessary
accommodations (visuals, demonstrations) for each activity.
