My second summer at Tampico was a great learning experience; I was able to take a much more hands on
approach than the previous summer. Throughout my time with Tampico, I worked with the marketing team on
consumer profiles, client profiles, researched consumer behavior, brainstormed marketing strategies, field
marketing, attended an offsite meeting with the ROAR agency, and shadowed several executives. This was a
great experience that adapted me to both the marketing world and corporate world.
Developed marketing skills on consumer behavior, marketing strategies, and social media tactics.
Tuned my leadership skills through shadowing experience with top executives.
TAMPICO BEVERAGES INTERNSHIP, Chicago, Illinois (Summer 2015)
-Marketing and Sales
Over the course of my opportunity interning with Tampico Beverages I was able to grow, develop, and gain
knowledge in several departments. Throughout my time with Tampico I sat in on several local and international
sales meetings, observed and helped conduct focus groups for new product, and worked extensively with the
marketing team in creating campaigns for products, meeting with vendors, and developing new ways to reach the
intended consumer.
Explored new ways to reach the consumer through an interactive social media platform.
Observed and researched a new way of advertising with DMG solutions. Through the use of mobile devices,
GPS, consumer habits, and Internet trends.
