GLOBAL WARMING

INTRODUCTION
Since the late nineteenth century, scientists have observed a gradual
increase in the average temperature of the planet's surface. Recently it has
also been seen how, due to this increase in temperature, large portions
Antarctic ice have been separated from the rest of the polar mass, thereby
reducing the size of the frozen continent.

DEFINITION
Global Warming: Is the phenomenon caused by changes in the average
increase in temperature of the earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent
decades.
Climate Change: Refers to any significant change in the expected long-term
weather patterns in a specific region or throughout the land.
The change in climate suggests a significant change in the relationship
between the land, ocean and atmosphere, resulting in changes in the
patterns of global circulation of air and water. It is a normal change, where
we (the people) have accelerated the behavior of energy dependence,
which increases gas emissions into the atmosphere gases emissions into the
atmosphere.

What causes it?

Indiscriminate use of natural resources. (Deforestation)

Gases into the atmosphere.
Energy dependence on fossil fuels.
Overpopulation.
Pollution.

Scientific opinion on climate change says; "Most of the warming observed

over the last 50 years is attributable to human activities".

CAUSES OF GLOBAL WARMING

Thanks to the presence in the atmosphere of CO2 and other gases
responsible for the greenhouse effect of solar radiation that reaches the
Earth is retained in the atmosphere. As a result of this heat retention, the
average temperature on the surface of the Earth reaches about 60 F,
which is conducive to the development of life on the planet. However, as a
result of burning fossil fuels and other human activities associated with the
process of industrialization, the concentration of these gases in the
atmosphere has increased significantly in recent years. This has caused the
atmosphere to retain more heat than it should, and is the cause of what is
now known as warming or global climate change.
Global warming or any climate change implies changes:

Global rainfall and its patterns.

Cloud cover.
All other elements of the atmospheric system (hurricanes, tornadoes).

CONSEQUENCES AND EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING

Effect on ecosystems
Increase in sea level
Heavier rainfall
Extreme weather conditions
Increased temperature at the sea surface
Health Effect
Changes in ocean currents
Effects on agriculture
Global warming could wipe out 1/4 of all species of plants and animals
on Earth by 2050.
Extreme weather events - more intense hurricanes
Risks to public health - dangerous periods of heat, spread infectious
diseases.
Less snow; less water - a source of drinking water is melted snow,
warmer winters reduces the amount of snow produced.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

Reducing energy consumption.

Use fluorescent bulbs.
Limit the consumption of water.
Make greater use of solar energy.
Plant trees around the house to reduce the use of air conditioners.
Recycle aluminum cans, plastic and glass, as well as cardboard and
paper.
Purchase products without packaging or recycled or recyclable
packaging.
Use recycled paper.
Make efficient use of the car.
Raise awareness in others about the importance of taking actions to
reduce the impact of global warming.

CONCLUSIONS

Global warming is here and what is driving humanity.

It is a fact that global warming is the rise in temperature on earth
causing environmental problems such as the greenhouse effect,
depletion of freshwater, air pollution, among others.
The reality of global warming is a clear and present danger to global
security, and welfare of billions of people around the planet Earth.

The accelerated extinction of species and sea level rise is a latent

danger to living beings.
