Introduction
HCM Data Loader delivers the HCM Data Loader Data Set Summary as a predefined HCM Extract.
For coexistence customers, the Compensation Changes predefined extract provides the results of
compensation runs.
As with all predefined HCM Extracts, it is recommended that you take a copy of the predefined extract
and configure that copy to suit your use case. This document describes how to do this for the extracts
that support HCM Data Loader.
Steps to success:
The following sections describe these steps in detail for the HCM Data Loader Data Set Summary.
Open the Manage HCM Extract Definitions page in the Data Exchange work area and search for the HCM
Data Loader Data Set Summary extract.

Select HCM Data Loader Data Set Summary in the Search Results and click the Copy button. Specify a
name for your copy of the extract and click OK. After a few moments, your copy is created.

Search for your copy of the HCM Data Loader Data Set Summary extract on the Manage HCM Extract
Definitions page.

Click the name of your extract in the Search Results. The Extract Definition is displayed.

On the left of the page, click the Extract Execution Tree folder. All formulas are in an error state.

Click Compile All Formula and periodically refresh the table data until green check marks appear, showing
that the formulas are successfully compiled.
Open the Refine Extracts page in the Data Exchange work area and search for your copied extract.

Click the Parameters tab to review the parameter definitions. Edit each parameter to update its Display,
Sequence, Parameter Basis, and Basis Value entries.

Your copy of the HCM Data Loader Data Set Summary extract can now be run. If you wish to configure your copy
further, refer to the HCM Extracts documentation for guidance on modifying the extract output and specifying
delivery options:

Navigate to Submit Extracts in the Data Exchange work area. Using the query by example fields, find your
extract and click Next.

Enter the parameter values. Specify a flow name for this execution of your extract and identify the data set you
want to report on:

**Content ID
The content ID associated with the data set. This ID was assigned when you uploaded your source
file to the Oracle WebCenter Content server. The content ID is visible on the Import and Load Data
page.
**Process ID
The process ID of the process that created the data set. This ID was assigned when you submitted
your source file for processing by HCM Data Loader. The process ID is available on the Import and
Load Data page.
The data set name. This is also your source file name. It is visible on the Import and Load Data
page.

Click Next until you reach the Review page. Submit your extract.

Compensation Changes
The Compensation Changes extract is a predefined HCM Extract reporting assignment, salary, and bonus changes
generated in Oracle Fusion Compensation for a specific compensation run.
The delivered extract provides this output in XML format, ensuring that it is machine readable. You can provide a BI
Publisher layout to reformat the output and define delivery options to automate the delivery of your output.
Steps to success:
The following sections describe these steps in detail for the Compensation Changes Extract.
Open the Manage HCM Extract Definitions page in the Data Exchange work area and search for the
Compensation Changes Extract.

Select Compensation Changes Extract in the search results and click the Copy button. Specify a name for
your copy of the extract and click OK. After a few moments, your copy is created.

Search for your copy of the Compensation Changes extract on the Manage HCM Extract Definitions page.

Click the name of your extract in the search results. The extract definition is displayed.

On the left of the page, click the Extract Execution Tree folder. You may need to minimize the Data Group
hierarchy to see the Extract Execution Tree. All formulas are in an error state.
