CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

RESEARCH STUDY AND PRODUCTION OF FINAL DOCUMENT

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an intergovernmental organization established in 1951 and
is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits both migrants and society.
In the framework of an ongoing IOM-UNICEF Inter-Agency Programme to Enhance the Network of Evacuation
Centers in Eastern Samar, the IOM Philippines now invites interested parties to submit an Expression of
Interest for the Contract Services for Research Study and Production of Final Document.
The Research Study will capture the lessons learned from building a community evacuation center in the
Province of Eastern Samar and collate these lessons in a Final Document that can be relevant to further projects.

Item Description
Research Study and Production of Final Document including:
Literature review and formulation of the research questions;
Design of the qualitative aspect of the study, including
information gathering and consolidation of lessons learned;
Conduct consultations / meetings with project staff;
Conduct consultations with other relevant stakeholders;
Conduct photo documentation, as well as compilation of existing
photographic data;
Conduct data collection in the field through following suggested
(but not limited to) methodology:
o Semi-structured questionnaire
o Focus group discussions
o Observe and report on events (i.e. DRRM activities)
o Attend LGU Technical Working Group meetings
Production of a draft document (written content in English,
imaging and layout) for review by IOM-UNICEF;
Production of a final document for publication.

Reference (ToR), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) and General Instruction to Contractors (GIC).
Call for Expressions of Interest will close by 31 October 2016.
IOM reserves the right to accept or reject any Expression of Interest, and to annul the selection process and reject
all Expression at any time prior to award of Contract, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected
parties.without obligation to inform the affected parties of the ground of IOM action.
