pressuretomaketheTeslaTturbineAlternatorgoveryfast,and

to100psiormore,itwouldlikelygenerategoodpower...until

rpmstomakeitweakeratfasterspeeds,andthereby
regulatethealternatingvoltageproduced.thenan

standardsolutionforthisthough,istobuildamorerobust
alternator,thatproducesusablevoltageatalowerRPM.
.Neodymiummagnetsarerelativelycheapconsideringhow
muchtheycanbeworthinaalternatorconfiguration.It'sa
couplehundreddollarsorsoofmagnetsandlessthana
hundreddollarsofmagnetwire,toputtogetheranalternator

thatmuchpowerjusttoovercometheresistanceofthe
bearings,sealsandfan.Thenthereistheforceofthe
magneticsandbackEMFtobeovercomeinorderto
actuallygeneratepower.
Aflywheelcanstoreexcesspower,orhelpwiththe
"notching"effectofmagnetsoncoilsofwire,buta
flywheelwillnotmakethealternatorcreatemore
power.orkeepitspinning.whenthereisnotenough
energysuppliedcontinuously.
Usinganalternatorcouldworkwellwithhigher
pressure,say100150psiwouldbenice,atagood
flowof5to20gallonsperminute,andbyusinga
maximumnumberofdiscsintheturbine.Otherwise,
withmyturbinesetups,oneislimitedtoasmall
alternatororgeneratordesignbyusingcoilsofwireto

andbuiltafewHAWTSandVAWTSeachoneimprovingonthe
last.I'lldoanintructablesoon,havebeenabitslack.
Funnelingjustdoesn'tworkwithwindturbines,itsrelatesback
totheequationthatonly59%ofwindenergyofagivenswept
areacanbeharnessed.Thisislargelyduetoairshigh
viscosity,itbouncesaroundandcreatesturbulencewithina
funnel,asmallamountoffunnelingwillimproveperformance
slightlybutlargefunnelsactuallymaketurbineslessefficient,
astheycreatedragandturbulenceratherthanallowingaclean
streamofairontotheturbine.Theamountofcompressionyou
couldgetwithfunnelingwouldbeminimalatbest.
Idohoweverbelievethatusingwindturbinestocompressair
viaapistonorpumpiscompletelyfeasibleandwouldliketo
lookintodoingthismyself.
