Class Descriptions

Aqua A 45 minute class with lots of variety to improve cardiovascular fitness with minimal stress on the joints.
Beep Test The 20m shuttle run test, commonly referred to as the beep test, is a running test that measures cardiovascular endurance.
Its a great way to monitor your aerobic fitness and assess your goals.
BodyAttack BODYATTACK is a cardiovascular interval training program that combines high intensity aerobic exercise, strength and
stabilisation. The simple routines are choreographed to inspiring music for you to get the best out of your workout.
BodyPump BODYPUMP is a resistance class using barbells and adjustable weights to tone and condition muscles whilst raising the
metabolic rate for rapid fat-burning. Works all major muscle groups of the body and is a great overall workout.
BodyStep BODYSTEP is a cardiovascular program that uses a height-adjustable step. BODYSTEP features high intensity intervals
followed by muscle conditioning tracks designed to shape and tone the entire lower body. Its simple, athletic and fun.
BodyVive BODYVIVE is a low impact group fitness workout that lets you choose just how hard you work. Using the VIVE balls,
tubes and optional hand weights, you are talked through the class by a skilled instructor whilst listening to uplifting and
inspiring music.

Group Fitness Timetable
Effective from Monday 2nd December

Boxing Blitz An outdoor 30 minute high intensity workout utilising focus pads and gloves to perform a range of boxing techniques and
combinations. A fun and effective way to increase your fitness, speed and coordination.
Boxing Fitness An intense workout focusing on boxing for fitness using a combination of focus pads, punching bags and body weight
exercises for muscular endurance and cardiovascular conditioning.
CXWORX 30 minute class to get a tight and toned core. Dynamic training using tubes and hand weights to hone in on your abs,
glutes, back, obliques and slings connecting the upper and lower body, this workout will leave you looking good and
feeling strong.
Cycle An incredible non impact class where you can work at your own intensity. Highly cardiovascular suitable for beginners
through to experts.
Fitball Express Total body workout using the Fitball to enhance deep core control and muscle strength.
Gym Circuit 30 A low impact 30 minute equipment-based session in the gym incorporating resistance training.
Intermediate A group aimed at improving running fitness. Participants must be able to run two sets of 3km distances to join the
Running Group group. Varied running routes in surrounding areas are used. Runs start and finish in front of the centre.
MaXfit High intensity small group training. MaXfit is designed to challenge your body physically and mentally. Each session has a
challenge component designed to push your body to its limits.
Movers and
Groovers

The best fun you can have in a chair! This is a great light paced workout for your muscles, using a chair to assist your
routine.

Pilates Anyone of any age, body shape and size can benefit from Pilates. This is a great overall strengthening workout, as well as
helping to invigorate and energise the body through breathing and body focus that stimulates circulation and clarity.
Swim Squad Aimed at any age, swim squad participants must be competent enough to swim a minimum of 1km continuously. Sessions
focus on technique correction, skills development and improving fitness through heart rate and interval training.
Torso Tone The ultimate experience for toning your torso using a Fitball. Improve your postural awareness, core stability, flexibility,
abdominal tone and overall strength. The workout includes cardiovascular components to improve your fitness and
balance.
Walking Group A social walking group covering approximately 5kms through the streets of Northcote and surrounding areas. A free service
open to all members of the community. Children and prams welcome.
Water Workout A 45 minute class with fast paced variety. Adaptable to all fitness levels to improve cardiovascular fitness with minimal stress
on the joints.
XTrainer

A freestyle class based upon fitball, weight work and circuit exercises with a cycle component.

Yoga

Focuses on stretches and poses to improve balance and flexibility.

Yoga Basics

A class for the beginner. Focusing on basic stretches and poses to improve flexibility and balance.

Zumba A Latin and world music inspired dance-fitness class involving fun and easy-to-follow moves to effectively increase
cardiovascular fitness.

Collect your ticket from customer service (first in basis)
Cut-off time for ticket collection & class entry is
5 minutes from start time (no ticket = no entry)
