COMPARATIVES

In English we have two ways of making comparatives with adjectives. Either we use
'more'... Paris is more beautiful than Moscow or we add 'er' to the end of the
adjective.... John is faster than Conor.
In Spanish we can only do it the first way, and we use 'ms' - more, with the word
'que' Paris es ms bonito que Mosc. John es ms rpido que Conor. We also use
'menos que' to mean 'less than'. Yo soy menos inteligente que mi hermano.
There are some adjectives that have irregular comparatives. bueno (good) - mejor
(better) malo (bad) - peor (worse) grande (big) - mayor (bigger, older) pequeo
(small) - menor (smaller, younger) (for size of an object, person or country, when we
use 'grande', or 'pequeo', the comparative is 'ms grande' or 'ms pequeo'.)
eg. Mi hermano menor tiene ocho aos - my younger brother is eight.
Yo soy un buen jugador de ftbol, pero mi amigo Carlos es mejor - I'm a good football
player but my friend Carlos is better.

Put the correct comparative adjective into the spaces...(be careful, in some you may
have to put in the word 'que')
