Using the rules on the following pages you can field an Astra Militarum force drawn from this proua people, or even represent an entire Cadian Batle Group on the battlefield. CHOOSING AN ARMY ‘When choosing an a ny to play a game of Warhammer 40,000, there are two main ways of organising your collection, These are the Unbound method, which means taking whichever units you Tike, and the Batte-forged method, which is more rigid but has extra benefits. Both ae described fully in Warhammer 40,000: The Rades Ifyou are using the Unbound method, simply use the datasheets that correspond to the models in your collection. Ifyou are using the Batleforged method, you will instead! need to organise the models in your colletion into Detachments. This is a fun process in its own right. The miost common of these are the Combined Arms and Allied Detachments. Note that you ean also inchide any ‘of the Formations presented in this section as part of a Batileforged army, RESTRICTIONS: ‘This Detachment must inchide at least one Command choice.
