The following are some facts about the researchers chosen professions to exhibit:
Engineering Field

Mechanical Engineer
-

is a college program leading to a degree in one of the most diverse engineering


disciplines which deals with the design, development, installation, operation and
maintenance of anything that has moving parts such as machineries, engines, and
structures used in industrial, biomedical, instrumentation and transportation
systems. The course also includes the study of conversion of thermal and
chemical energy into mechanical work through engines and power plants and how
to utilize these energies, forces and structures to perform a variety of tasks.

Geodetic Engineer
-

Geodetic Engineering program provides knowledge, skills and relevant


experience to students in the fundamentals of surveying and mapping work,
geodesy, remote sensing, geographic information systems and oceanography. It
also focuses on the laws of public lands and natural resources, land registration
laws, obligations and contracts and professional ethics.

Geological Engineer
-

The Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering aims to provide in-depth


knowledge and practical skills to students in the study of basic and applied
geology and engineering courses. It focuses on the development of designs,
material behavior and the different physical and engineering properties in relation
to geology.

Civil Engineer

The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program provides technical skills


and knowledge in planning, design, construction, supervision, and maintenance of
civil engineering works. Examples of civil engineering works include
infrastructures for transportation (roads, railroads, bridges, ports, airports),
commerce (shopping malls), education (schools, universities), human settlements
(large scale housing projects, water supply, sewage disposal), energy development
(power stations, power lines) and agriculture (irrigation, farm drainage).

Electronics and Communication Engineer

The Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering (BSECE), also known as Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering, is a 5-year
college program which focuses on the conceptualization, design and development
of electronic, computer and communication products, systems, services and
processes.
In comparison with BS Electrical Engineering, which deals with the general
aspect of design and development of electrical equipment, such as power
generators and electric motors, BS Electronics and Communication Engineering is
a branch of Electrical Engineering which focuses on the study of design and
development of Electronic equipment such as semiconductors and transmitters to
be use in distant communications.

Teacher Education Field

Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED)

A four-year degree program designed to prepare students to become primary


school teachers. The program combines both theory and practice in order to teach
students the necessary knowledge and skills a primary school teacher needs.
There are several major fields of concentration in the BEED program, namely
Early Childhood Education, Special Education, General Education, English,
Mathematics, Science, Filipino, Social Studies Music, Arts and Physical
Education (MAPE) and Technology and Home Economics (THE).

Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED)

A four-year degree program designed to prepare students for becoming high


school teachers. The program combines both theory and practice in order to teach
students the necessary knowledge and skills a high school teacher needs. The
BSEd program trains students to teach one of the different learning areas such as
English, Mathematics, General Science, Filipino, Social Studies, Biological
Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health
(MAPEH) and Home Economics and Livelihood Education.

Arts and Design Field

Architect

A 5-year college degree intended for people who wish to pursue a career in
Architecture. Architectural education provides students with knowledge and skills
in planning, designing and constructing buildings taking into account the
principles of utility, strength and aesthetics.

Landscape Architect

Provides students with a professionally-oriented foundation in landscape design,


planning and construction. The program includes topics in design implementation,
computer applications and the integration of ecology as well as behavioral
sciences in making designs and planning projects.
The BS-LA program aims to produce graduates who are equipped with skills in
landscape construction, facilities design and land use analysis.

Interior Designer
-

A four-year degree program designed to teach students design concepts and


methods of building interiors. It covers a wide range of professional practices
such as: interior design, furniture and accessories design, visual merchandising,
production design, exhibition design, interior landscaping design and lighting
design. In addition, students learn skills in photography, fashion and other crafts.

Fine Arts

A four-year degree program designed to help students develop their artistic skills
in the key areas of fine arts, namely creative writing, theater arts, visual arts,
electronic media, photography, studio arts, interior design and painting. (Learn

KidZania - KidZania provides a dynamic way to help kids learn by taking on exciting
role-play activities such as pilots, cooks, artists, firefighters, veterinarians, and even

broadcasters. All activities are reality-based, hands-on, and interactive. Kids also get to
wear realistic uniforms and use realistic work tools. (See Appendix B for further details)

Korea Job World - Korea Job World helps visitors to figure out what they can do best and
what they want to do in the future through experiences as they become the main character
in an occupation that they choose based on an interest test and an aptitude test as well as
on their desired occupation. It assists visitors in forming a sound view about occupation
and in selecting a proper occupation for them. (See Appendix C for further details)

World Trade Center - WTCMM is the venue of many of the major exhibitions and trade
shows that are participated in by foreign delegations and buyers from different parts of
the world. World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) offers a fully equipped facility
in a strategic location that offers excellent visitor mileage and accessibility to the
international airport and seaports, entertainment and cultural facilities, five-star hotel
accommodations as well as to Makati, the main central business district in the
