REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2016-026

AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING ONE (1) POSITION-ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICER IV, SIG 15, ITEM NO. 8 AND THE CREATION OF TWO (2)
NEW POSITIONS-ADMINISTRATIVE AIDE II, SIG 2, ITEMS NOS. 10
AND 11, HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT OFFICE AND
APPROPRATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS THEREOF

WHEREAS, a letter dated January 4, 2016 from the Office of the City Mayor was received
by the Sangguniang Panlungsod with a request for the abolition of one ( 1) position Administrative
Officer IV, SIG 15, Item No. 8 and the creation of two (2) positions Administrative Aide II, S/G
2, Human Resource Management Office;
WHEREAS, Section 76 ofRA 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 states that:

Sec. 76 "Every LGU shall design and implement its own structure and
staffing pattern taking into consideration its service requirements and
financial capability, subject to the minimum standard'! and guidelines
prescribed by the Civil Service Commission".
WHEREAS, the creation of the two (2) new positions of Administrative Aide II is
necessary to accommodate the implementation of the centralized payroll system of the City
Government ofl1oilo;

WHEREAS, the abolition and creation entails no cost on the part of the Iloilo City
Government, as such said position is deemed necessary, urgent and for the best interest of the
service~

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City oflloilo,

that:
Section l. - It is hereby abolished the position of Administrative Officer IV, S/G 15, Item
No. 8, Human Resource Management Office.
Section 2. There is hereby created two (2) new positions of Administrative Aide II, SIG
2, Item Nos. IO and 11, Human Resource Management Office.
Section 3. - There is hereby appropriated the necessary funding for the purpose.
Section 4. - This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
ENACTED. January 19, 2016.
