Introduction
In terms of Indonesian lot of phrases in a sentence. Likewise with the term English
grammar is not much different from the Indonesian. In English also many expressions that
are often encountered one of which is the Question Tag is the expression used by a person to
give a statement that at the request of another person to talk to, agree or agree with his
opinion.
In this paper we will discuss about the meaning of the question tags as well as the
guidelines for the manufacture of question tags itself.
We are very grateful to our mother as a mentor lecturer in the manufacture of this
paper, and to our readers so expect criticism and constructive suggestions for the good of the
contents of this paper.

B. Definition
Question Tag
A question tag or tag question (also known as tail question) is a grammatical
structure in which a declarative statement or an imperative is turned into a question by adding
an interrogative fragment (the "tag").For example, in the sentence "You're John, aren't you?",
the statement "You're John" is turned into a question by the tag "aren't you". The term
"question tag" is generally preferred by British grammarians, while their American
counterparts prefer "tag question".
Example :
1. We shall be late, shall not we?
2. It's a nice day, is not it?
3. Ali can swim, can not he?
4. She is reading a book, is not she?
5. Fatimah comes late, does not she?

Predictions/statements of fact
The auxiliary verb will is used in making predictions or simple statements of fact about the
future.

The sun will rise at 6.30 tomorrow.

Lunch break today will be 10 minutes longer than usual.

In the year 2050 all students will have their own computers in school.

If you help me, I will help you.

Do you think she will come soon?

You won't pass your exams if you don't start working harder.

I know my parents won't let me go to the party.

Will it snow for Christmas?

I know she's sick, but will she be back in school tomorrow?

Present Perfect
The present perfect is a grammatical combination of the present tense and the perfect
aspect that is used to express a past event that has present consequences.

for something that started in the past and continues in the present:

Theyve been married for nearly fifty years.


She has lived in Liverpool all her life.
Note: We normally use the present perfect continuous for this:

She has been living in Liverpool all her life.


Its been raining for hours.

for something we have done several times in the past and continue to do:

Ive played the guitar ever since I was a teenager.


He has written three books and he is working on another one.
Ive been watching that programme every week.
