LESSON PLAN

MARCH 17, 2016

A DESCRIPTION OF THE TARGET STUDENTS

This class is lead to 8 grade students from the Institution Educativa Cuarta Poza de Manga.
This school is located in Tubarco, Bolivar and it has around 1.600 students. Most of them
live with their grandparents which makes the learning process a Little bit more complicated
when there is no authority at home.
The lesson plan is aimed to 8th grade, which is 39 students group with a very low English
level, I can assume that according to the REF they are located in a A0 level. This group had
no English teacher for a year and half so they have not had any type of interaction with the
language. They are collaborative and enthusiastic learners but the motivation to learn
English is very poor since they find it difficult and complicated. Most of them get excited
when I teach them English through music and outdoor activities. Most of the activities that
I prepare for them require flashcards, video beam, power point slides or any other visual aid
so I can say that most of them are visual learners.
